Guest guest
(Bob's Daughter) For those of you that are interested. It would seem appropriate to provide the following information: I just came back from the hospital (10 AM -- Wed.). Laurie was ready to go home and the hospital staff were getting her ready to go today. Laurie will be receiving home health care, which includes nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Any medications she needs will be provided to her. These folks really know their business. There has been some confusion regarding the diagnosis. I spoke directly with the hospital doctor today to get the terms clarified. Laurie has been diagnosed with non-small cell lymphoma -- a lung cancer -- in Stage 4 -- meaning that the cancer has spread outside her lung. She is receiving chemotherapy treatment. Sometime after the first of the year her progress will be assessed so that treatment can be adjusted accordingly. Skip
