Guest guest
Generally no, serpent as kundalini is associated with Yesod the 9th sephiroth. I believe Dion Fortune, Aleister Crowley, HP Blavatsky were all pretty much in accordance with this. Golden Dawn knowledge lectures (probably Mathers) and HPB refer to the serpent as sevenfold matter (prakrti), and in GD tradition it is held to be rooted in Malkuth with its heads stretching as far as Da'ath but not beyond it to the supernal triad. arguably the " serpent " itself taken as " one whole thing " might associate to Binah but it's easy to find that confusing. Binah is sometimes said to " give birth to " the lower seven. best, -brian , " richard O " <eyeoneblack wrote: > > I came to the conclusion the serpent was associated with Binah > (Qabbalah). > Anybody confirm this? Guest guest
OThanks, I knew you'd be the one! It's coming back to me. I liked that sudy, Qabbalah (so many spellings). I had a life changing dream last Winter, the character that changed my life appeared to represent Binah. Anyway, the effect of the dream was, looking back, an awakening of K (if a sudden onslaught of passionate energy that lasted for weeks would indicate that). Yes. One image I remember is the Queen (Malkuth) on her throne with the serpent raised up over her shoulder. I have my research on file. I think I'll get back to it. Not an acedemic thought, but Binah (one symbo)is Mare, and the serpent lives in the sea. Ok, I gotta' back on this. -thanks Brian - richard O Kundalini-Awakening-Systems- 1 , " a_seventh_son " <a_seventh_son wrote: > > Generally no, serpent as kundalini is associated with Yesod the 9th > sephiroth. Guest guest
chrism, in the qabalistic tradition, the 'lightning flash' descends, creating the tree, and the serpent re-ascends, tracing all the paths... the GD knowledge lectures have a glyph of this, but I don't remember anymore where I found it online. where is the posted picture btw? -brian , " chrism " <> wrote: > > I have posted a pic of a snake in the Tree of Life, looks like a > cobra to! - hmmmm - blesssings - chrism >
