Guest guest
Hello Guys, Just wanted to let you know that I am still alive. I know that I haven't posted in a while. I have been sick, literally, since my dad died (November 12, 2006), first bronchitis and a severe sinus infection and just as I was getting over that I came down with what I believe was the flu, which was Christmas Eve and it seems to be lingering and just doesn't want to go away. I have been literally getting very little sleep due to my coughing when I try to lay down to sleep, if I go to sleep I am awakened by my own coughing, I basically have kept my family up or disturbed through the night. On top of the sickness, one of my sisters has had terrible issues with the death of my dad. She packed up and moved across country with her 8 year old daughter and got stranded on Interstate 80 during that winter storm that came over the western states. At the time she was in Laramie, Wyoming. He husband had to fly into Denver and take a cab to where she was to drive the rest of the way, that cost $250 (the cab ride), no rentals available at the time. She actually got married to a man who lives over on the west coast just before my dad died and she wasn't going to move until May or June of this year. However, she couldn't handle my dad's death, especially since she and her daughter had lived with him for the past 5 years. We have had a rough time in finding my dad's " Will " and we have been looking for it ever since the week he died. I had a terrific FRIEND seek to help us find it and although the information that was given was helpful in finding other things we still can't find his " Will " . We have had to open his estate in " intestate estate " which is with no will and because of that the State of South Carolina will absorb a large portion of my dad's estate. We are still looking for my dad's " Will " , but it seems our options are becoming very grim! I only wish we could find it or the lawyer who drew it up for him or something. My dad worked very hard for what he did have, and he gave up a lot to gain it, (growing up we were poor) and it is such a shame that the state can literally take a large percentage of it. Anyway, if a lesson learned, make sure you have at least a few people who know exactly where your " Will " is in the event that you die an unplanned death, it sure would make it easier for your family members, and if you don't have one, go GET it! PRAY we find the copy of the " WILL " !!!! We have less than two months to find it and turn it in to turn the process around and get it out of " intestate " ! I myself have been chosen as the personal representative of my dad's estate, not by personal choice, but by convenience. I am the only one of the four of us sisters who lives here on the east coast and who does not work who has the time to do it and because the estate is `intestate' there is a lot of work to do. Sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out and this whole mess along with my dad's death is probably why I have been very sick like a DOG! Plus, I must mention that like I said before, my dad lived in South Carolina and I live in Florida, 9 hours away from his estate. My husband is going on a couple of business trips and my children are getting ready to go back to school so that should be a lot of fun. Speaking of dogs, today we had to take our beautiful black Labrador Retriever to the vets to have surgery. One of her bottles, tits, whatever you want to call it, had a very large and solid mass in it. They literally did a mastectomy on her. They said that we could pay an additional $78 on top of the $350 we had just paid to have the mass biopsied, but we don't want to know because if she does have cancer which the chances are high, we aren't doing the chemotherapy on her. We want her to have a full quality of life, and based on past experiences with people close to me and chemo, it isn't worth taking that life away from her to only go anyway. I have had enough sickness and death in my life in the last 12 months to last a life time. In January 2006 my grandfather (my dad's dad) died and then almost 10 months to the day my daddy died. My daddy's best friend who was there through it all with him, she almost died this year, but then she made it, and within the first two weeks of my dad's death she had to undergo surgery, had to have a couple because the first one failed and she was diagnosed with cancer and has a temporary colostomy. One of my sisters developed a staff infection after a surgery and was lucky they found it in time to put her on meds for it; almost went into septic shock which I just found out that my dad actually died from that and not pneumonia. Her 3 year old daughter almost died, but she was also very lucky as well. So like I said my family and I have had a multitude of upsets to last a GOOD long while. You know the saying, when it rains it pours, WELL this past year it POURED CATS and DOGS! Now My Annie (my dog), so do I want to put my Annie through that, NO! Anyway, I have been tring to do my practice, but I haven't been very successful! It is hard to concentrate these days, at night I talk to God, Jesus, and Shakti. I try to remember in the day time as well, but I don't always remember. I know somewhere in all of this there is a lesson to be learned, but I haven't figured out what it is yet. I am still hanging in there and trying to heal and trying to learn that lesson. I know one day by the Grace of My Almighty God and my beloved Lord Christ I will understand. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! This Year is the YEAR of JOY, HAPPINESS, LOVE, PEACE, GREAT HEALTH, AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH FOR ME. May God be with you all and God Bless you! Love, Katherine
Guest guest
Hello Katherine!, Nice to read you once again. That's right hang in there, " this to shall pass. " Death comes to us all. I have also experienced the death of a good friend this past week and it is difficult at times to " see them " not in the physical, yet it is a kindness at the same time. You know what must be done to clear up your health. I would suggest as much freshly pressed carrot juice for you as often as you can have it. As well as steady amounts of vit C complex. With grape seed extract. Try for organic carrots if they can be had where you are. As far as your Dads will, there is still time. Other options will present so don't give up or fall into despair. You are strong and able and this has many lessons for you so go get em! And know we are here and wish you much love and health and Happiness. -
