Guest guest
For the record (and my lack of credibility), I've no experience with psychedelics. On the advice of a friend however, I am considering trying a legal (in the US) psychedelic like 'salvia divinorum' which is readily available and so far remains off the DEA's sh!tlist. Ayahuasca is legal for a tiny percentage of the population for whom it's an inherent part of a complex belief system, and even then is controversial. for the rest of us in the US, it is legal to own 'for identification purposes' only, but preparing or using the stuff IS technically illegal. It doesn't make a lot of sense, then again drug laws rarely do. One of the most important factors of any 'trip', be it ethnobotanical or vipaassana-meditation, is setting and context, the drug is just a mechanism of transport. LSD was used for 'enlightenment' and mind-expansion, but also was usefully combined with electroshock and trauma for depersonalization and forced " reprogramming " by the (human, if you can call them that) powers-that-be in the US and abroad, as were other psychedelics. -Brian , " selena230 " <selena230 wrote: > > Thanks guys.
