Guest guest
hi tribe. when we speak of ego we each of course have our own personal definitions of the word. when i had that salvia vision of the expanding tree with the branches sprouting from branches going on forever... well i still don't know what it means. but on reflecting about ego it occured to me that the formation of ego may have been a long and gradual process. if the trunk of the tree in the vision can be viewed as Source then each branching outward takes us further from that sense of unity. and so gradually we have individuated our selves away from this spirit of communion with all. that is how i see ego: that sense of differentiation from everything else in the universe. this existential loneliness may be the result of generations of conditioning. i've read that this sense of self may be a fairly new development in humans on this planet. we are further conditioned that if we are this way now then it must always have been so. but perhaps not. i address this topic in this group because it is my hope that the kundalini process may reverse this sense of alienation and bring in a new consciousness of unity. blessings and love to all, -steve f
