Guest guest
OK, Steve! Now we are getting somewhere! It's all coming back to me....Ego is a " sense of self " . The Yogis and Gurus and Zen Masters and folks of that nature (and their students) have always told me to " loose myself " . I did this on many occasions when in the U.S. Navy... I sometimes would also loose my belt, billfold, shoes, dignity, lunch/supper... But, I digress! The idea as you say is " reverse this sense of alienation and bring in a new consciousness of unity " . On these lines, when I do have those 'little glimpses of oneness' it is not of my doing! It just happens! But, Mr. DOES point out some things I may have been doing to get to that point in my journey BUT-- originally I had NO intent to " Loose my individuality.... It just >WHAM!!!< happens.. I don't think we can MAKE it happen by trying " to loose our ego " . I just feel like we " loose our ego " when it is time to loose it! Just my inner self rambling on! Guest guest
Very true master stephen, I do pray for the transmutation of my ego daily. I think we can loosen the grip but ultimately it will happen of it's own accord when divine timing is in place. I feel like I'm trying to tame a beast that lives inside me and has a mind of it's own, I get on well with it though and love it. A bit like a pet dog.
