I had to work last night (Valentine's Day) and two winter storms

converged on us creating quite a blizzard. There was a parking ban so

I had to leave my car at work to keep it off the street. I was ready

to stay the night thinking the next shift wouldn't be able to get in,

but only med techs were needed, so I was free to leave. I called every

cab company listed in the phone book, none were answering. After about

an hour of trying it didn't look like I was going to get home after

all. Around midnight, out of the corner of my eye, I saw another staff

person leaving (she didn't have a car). I called to her and asked her

how she was getting home and she said she called a cab. I asked if I

could share the cab with her, " of course! " She had stayed on the line

of a cab company 45 minutes, letting it ring til they finally

answered. I gathered everything together, and as we were waiting at

the door for the cab her sister called and said she would be there to

pick her up in 10 minutes. Then the cab pulled up and she said, " The

cab was meant for you after all. " A chill went through me as I

realized the unseen help that was present to get me home. I just want

to publicly acknowledge that help and express the gratitude. I am

profoundly touched by it. Thank you all for being there to share this

with. Love, dhyana

Dhyana,

Thank you so much for sharing that with us! I am so happy that you

made it home okay! Fortunately and unfortunately, I won't have to

worry about that type of situation being down here in Florida, but I

have been in situations like that in the past. I have three other

sisters that have had similar experiences with the unpredictability

of weather. Stay safe and warm! I am so GRATEFUL for the gift of the

cab for you! I just can't express the feeling I got just from reading

your post. Even though it isn't exactly warm here, it is much warmer

than where you are and so I will send warm thoughts to you! Once

again I want to say I am gracious that you were able to get home

safe, and please pass to your coworker my thanks for helping a friend

in need. Take care Dhyana. Many blessings to you!

Love,

Katherine

Wow !I know exactly what you mean.I went somewhere to run an errand

in Dec,06 and there were 4 long lines and the receptionist told me

to go stand in one of the lines.Someone comes out and asks for

everyone's papers and tells everyone except me to move to another

line.I was the first and only person in the line and the woman at

the window asked me what happened to all the other people before

me.I told her they were in the wrong line and she looked at me

strange.Unseen forces at work.I could have stayed in that line for

at least 30-40 min but I got help.he,he,he !that line was only meant

only for me.Lol.

That's beautiful, Dhyana. Glad you got home safe--and, yes, sometimes

things happen that make you wonder... :-)

This is all wonder-ful to hear! I love the validation of it all.

My latest story is that I saw a chicken recipe in the newspaper to be cooked in

a tirine (Moroccan earthenware thing with the top cone shaped) and I have always

been interested in the tirines so looked on ebay for one, got to one site that

seemed to have many interesting things and saw figurines for sale from the

paintings of Hieronymus Bosch. I thought, humm, they are so cool and bizzare, I

bet my nephew (who will be 28 on Sunday and may be coming for a birthday dinner)

might like one for a present. I called him, H. Bosch is one of his favorite

artists (nephew goes to an Art Academy in San Francisco) and he was blown away

at the idea of having a figurine and never even heard they were ever made. (This

seller has a few he brought from Europe) So, that was a very fun way to get the

perfect gift for my Nephew who was even more blown away by the story. (And will

look for the tirine for myself some other time)

In gratefulness,

Sherri

Wow, guys... You have blown me away with all your responses. Thank you.

The second part of the story was the hair raising ride home, in which

I kept my eyes closed most of the way! The angel that drove knew his

way around snow and enjoyed the challenge. I felt very safe, just

didn't want to see what he was dealing with. Needless to say, he

received a very large tip!

Thank you again for all the wonderful responses, it was very heart

warming. Hugz to all. Love, dhyana

Hi dhyana

That is great. Isn't it wonderful how things work to help us sometimes.

I am grateful to be a part of this group with such great people sharing

experiences, and dreams.

Peace and Love be with you

Hello Stephen. So glad you are here with us. Big Hug.

Thank you, it IS wonderful when we get to glimpse the

care and attentiveness that surrounds us. I usually

see it when I ask for it, but this time I forgot to

ask and there it was anyway. It always melts my heart

and fills me with such deep gratitude that we are

cared about and looked after in such a knowing way. So

good hearing from you. Love, dhyana
