Guest guest
Hi all, I'm a regular reader, not much of a poster... but here I am nonetheless! I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before. There are days when I wake up (like today) and everything around me seems to be running in slow motion, most noticeably when I hear music playing. Occasionally it seems to be associated with a place, like when I travel back to my home state of Tennessee. Yes life is slightly slower there anyway, but this is different. It's like the motion picture/sound clip playing around me has been purposely slowed down a bit. It isn't really bothersome, I'm just aware of the slight difference. I had a dream about a month ago where I experienced this to the extreme... I was speaking to someone in the dream and it sounded like all his words were slurred to the point that I could hardly understand them. Strangely my responses were in normal speed. On a side note, I sometimes notice a change in vision as well (not at the same time as the speed variations). The only way I know to describe what I see is to compare it to a flag waving in the breeze, a sort of rippling effect. Anyone else? love & light ~Jen~
Guest guest
Thanks for the reply Lisa! I guess I should clarify that it's not me that feels sluggish, it's that I feel like everything else around me is. Just like I'm slightly out of sync with my environment or something. Songs sound like they're being played at a slower speed, people seem to be talking more slowly, that sort of thing. Otherwise, all is normal. I don't know, maybe it's just me... love & light ~Jen~ , Leshya <pleiades69 wrote: > > Jen, > I get this way after I meditate, and when I usually meditate for at > least 15 minutes. > I will get up feeling I was drugged to the point that I am slow and > mellow and calm > and the same time in control and powerful. Guest guest
I know exactly what you mean Jen!It feels like everything looks more vivid, the colors look irridescent and people look strange to you like they don't belong. It's just a feeling,an awareness and only you can see things differently, like you are floating just witnessing others actions without judgement without any thoughts.I think we feel this way because we live in the moment.I remember in the summer and yesterday when it was sunny outside I felt just like that. The rippling effect does not happen much when it's cold outside. When I walk now I feel like I walk very slow but I always pass everyone else and it feels to me that they are very slow.Maybe we can slow time.I had this incident when it sure felt like time stopped for a few minutes.
