Guest guest
As a follow up to my " aurora borealis " post, I found the article below: http://biologyofkundalini.com/article.php?story=TheCrystalPalace Do we have a biochemist or a physician in this newsgroup? I'd like to know if the science in this article is legitimate. BTW: As I just found out, the practice of meditating on internal lights is not new; in fact, in India it is known as " taraka yoga " . Unfortunately I haven't found any in-depth information on the subject yet. Cheers, Sel
Guest guest
Taraka - a demon slain by Kartikeya Taraka yoga is based on the non-dualist philosophy of Advaita Vedanta. It was thought to have been started by Shankara The word Taraka actually means that which delivers. Taraka yoga delivers the practitioner to the unconditioned reality of the absolute. This is achieved through, first of all, the recognition of there being only one single being living in the infinite universe whose name is Brahman or Atman. The goal of Taraka yoga is to convert one's ordinary consciousness to a continuous awareness of this absolute reality. This is achieved, to a great extent, through a series of exercises in which light phenomena play a decisive role. The inner light is produced by a technique known as " Shambhavi- mudra " . The yogi fixes his or her attention on the third eye, and taught to see and experience the light phenomena of the inner dimensions of reality. There are discernible stages of development in this yogic path. These have been loosely designated as: Inner sign External sign Intermediate sign , " selena230 " <selena230 wrote: > > As a follow up to my " aurora borealis " post, I found the article below: > > http://biologyofkundalini.com/article.php?story=TheCrystalPalace > > Do we have a biochemist or a physician in this newsgroup? Guest guest
When I created the frequency of sunlight in my body, I felt wonderful warmth suddenly flow through my arms legs and body, I also visualised loads of bright rainbows into my body and got a lot of energy flow, especially in the spine. It was just after a soul searching discussion with someone, I saw a huge breaking tumbling wave at svadisthana, then I suddenly had the idea to put sunlight into this image, so I imagined the same wave but completely saturated with the brightest clearest sunlight!! Anyway I got a lot of healing off that. Hooray! Guest guest
This sounds similar to what I do to ward off migraines. One of the things that happens in most migraine sufferers in the first phase of the headache is cold hands. I have done some biofeedback training, which is basically deep meditation. The therapist gave me a guided meditation to take home that helps make the hands and feet warm, part of which is imagining being out in the sun and soaking up the warmth. He said doing this actually changes your physiology and restores the blood vessels to normal, aborting the migraine. After doing this for a few weeks I have reached the point where I no longer need to listen to the meditation. I merely think of my hands and feet getting warm and they do within 5-10 minutes. I have been able to abort 90% of my migraines the past few weeks using this method. Guest guest
That sounds cool. Its amazing the range of body energies we experience. Some days we feel so crap, but then other days after climbing a mountain or lying in the sun, swimming in the sea or whatever, you feel amazing. Maybe part of the evolution of the mind is to increasingly learn to create these frequencies without an external source, in the same way a meditator may seek to create peace or happiness without an external source. Yogic literature's full of these kinds of references to filling the body and cells with light. , " Sarita " <sarita1969 wrote: > > This sounds similar to what I do to ward off migraines.
