Guest guest
This forgiveness thing continues to amaze me. I have just been fortunate enough to receive an incidental tangible immediate benefit of training my heart with this path. Its all just " the cream on the cake " though, as you say with the bliss; a wonderful side effect of following a path you would choose anyway. Anyway, last week I had a fallout with a friend that I'm sure most would call dramatic with long term consequences. He hugely disappointed me at the time- to the point where I actually allowed bitterness to creep in over the following couple of days. I thought it would take a lot of work and time to forgive. Well tonight I have to put in the effort to remember what it was/is I'm even supposed to forgive him for. And there's no animosities or anything remotely negative hanging about in my feelings/perceptions towards him. I'm happy to see him or not- whatevers appropriate for him? It's like, because the forgiveness was actually truly rendered, there is truly no issue- nothing to consider about last weeks events. My memory's 100%, but I have to go looking for the recollection of an event that no longer occupies my mind. And It has allowed me to rise above, and be content whatever the outcome. And direct my energies into constructive pursuits... With love & light, glen o. (If you think this should be a list post please do post - I dont know why I should be shy of posting. I guess I'm just a bit humbled.)
