Thanks, Elektra! Good idea about focusing on the

thumb! I took ballet lessons as a young girl and

remember focusing on a point on the wall when I spun,

just as you described!

And, I've been meaning to ask...when the safeties say

'spin,' does that mean to turn on two feet or try to

actually spin on one foot? You can't really 'spin'

unless you're one one foot, can you? So I will

actually be rotating clockwise on two feet, right?

Thank you so much for the suggestion!!

Hi Claudia,

When you " spin " it is not a pirouette more of a turn

like a child would do to make themselves dizzy.

You step one foot (right), then the other foot(left),

but on the spot. Like a belly dancing spin. Or a

whirling dervish!!!

I do it in a one two one two rhythm.

Hope this is clear, lots of love Elektra x x x

Yes, perfectly, and thank you Elektra! That's how

I've been doing it. Yesterday, even doing it with my

eyes focused on my right thumb, I got real nauseated.

Since it's the first Tibetan, I endured the nausea

throughout the rest of the Tibetans. Not very

pleasant. I hope it abates with time and practice,

but I have a feeling that the inner ear problems I

have had since childhood are going to be an issue

every time I spin.

However, I will NOT let it keep me from doing what I

need and want to do for my K awakening! If I can quit

smoking (3 months today!), I can overcome nausea!!

Upward & onward,

Claudia

Congratulations on the stopping smoking, you go there

girl!!!

I too gave up smoking recently, about one month.

It's all about purification this year, as the world

purifies herself we can all help by doing the same.

My friend patti talks about this year being the year

humans begin to ascend into their solar light bodies

(new age beliefs, 2012) so it would make sense to me

that we will all be drawn to cleanse and purify.

I have noticed that many of my friends are doing the

same also, giving up smoking, fasting , taking up yoga

etc.

Keep up the wonderful work, and hope the spinning

works out for you,

Much love and many blessings, Elektra x x x

hello Claudia,

To avoid dizziness while spinning why don't you try to coordinate each spin

with a deep breath " inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth "

along with looking at the thumb, when you finish the spinning keep breathing

through your nose and exhaling through the mouth few more times and you'll cheat

nauseas and dizziness.

Hope it helps

Hi Claudia, I may as well add my two cents to this as

well! I could only spin about three times without

getting ill when I first started. It took a while to

get up to six and then I had to be sure something was

close by for me to fall onto! hahaha! Didn't think 21

would be in this lifetime, but it did happen. I

squinted my eyes so I wouldn't see too much going by.

When I did reach 21 I was still falling afterwards,

but then decided to try standing and deep breathing.

With practice it happened. I'm happy to say there are

no more problems with it...and Elektra's suggestion of

watching the thumb lets me add more speed. Sooo, smile

and believe! (I struggle with motion sickness in

moving vehicles...maybe that is on its way out as

well!) Hug. Love, dhyana

Thank you, Marie! I will certainly give that a try!

I know I have used deep breathing in the past to

overcome nausea, so this makes sense!

Have a wonderful day!

Dhyana, Thank you SO much for sharing that!! It makes

me feel so much better to know that I am not alone in

my problem with the spinning! I am doing 6 rotations,

but squinting, like you, and when I finish I keep my

eyes closed, so I can't STILL see everything spinning

past me, grab the mantle over the fireplace, and lower

myself to the ground to recover. Good grief! Who'd

have thought that spinning would take such a toll!!

I'm glad to find out that 21 rotations may actually be

feasible for me one day, as well.

Bless you for sharing this, Dhyana!
