Guest guest
I have decided to (finally) part ways with Effexor. There are some other drugs on my list, but this one is the worst offender. I am now heading into day 4 and going into withdrawal. Unfortunately, I am one of the sensitives that goes through withdrawal even though I have weaned off over a 2 month period. I get these electric shocks, numbness in the lips, headaches, nausea, dizziness, etc. I could use some uplifting during this transition. I want to be free of all these nasty drugs once and for all. If I can get through this one, the others should be cake. Thanks guys! Sarita

Guest guest
Western medicine believes that by treating the symptom we have addressed the reality... this is like saying, if I have chemically castrated a sex offender, he is cured of his ailment. if I am watching a dam leak, and discover a hole, I patch it up until it no longer leaks and the problem seems to go away... for awhile. My diagnosis is " there is a hole in the dam " - and inevitably another one, as the real problem is the pressure of the waters it's holding back. the hole formed was the natural result of trying to relieve the pressure, so if the natural 'solution' is thwarted, another will come along because the forces behind the dam are still exerting the same unrelieved pressure. take care, and best of luck -brian , " Sarita " <sarita1969 wrote: > > I have decided to (finally) part ways with Effexor. Guest guest
Thanks Elektra! I don't know that I would be attempting this right now if not for the support of the this group. And my desire to have a healthy K experience of course. Guest guest
I am now looking into my " mojo bag " ! I suppose some of you know I have worked for psych medicine since 1976. I will be so glad to finally retire soon. The meds only stop the symptoms, bring on others and never get to the cause. The only reason I'm still in " the system " ? I try to give some compassion in a world of little compassion! Beats the 'dope' by a long shot! MOJO is COMING! :) Stephen C. , " Sarita " <sarita1969 wrote: > > I have decided to (finally) part ways with Effexor. There are some > other drugs on my list, but this one is the worst offender. Guest guest
Thank you much Master C! I am feeling better and better as the day goes on and I KNOW it is because of all the help and support I am getting from here. The medical field needs people like you, there are too few of them. I work in Oncology, which is a very depressing field. I've been in it for almost 12 years and I wouldn't be anywhere else. These people are angry, scared, helpless and are too often misunderstood and treated badly. Our office is a very special place and is filled with kind souls who treat the patients with respect. I think certain types of people are attracted to our office and those who don't " share in the vision " quickly realize they don't fit in and are on their way. Most of the staff has been there for 10 years or close to it. BTW, you have a deep mojo bag! Guest guest
Wow! Thanks Dhyana, that was awesome. I joined the website, there is some great stuff on there. Here is one about Karma that I thought might be of interest to some of our members: http://www.consciousone.com/wisdomflash/wfview.cfm?PID=192 Sarita , " novalees " <Novalees wrote: > > > Beloved Sarita, try this one on. Guest guest
Thanks, that one looks great too! :-) I think I could spend hours exploring that one, LOL! How do you find these things? Guest guest
hahahaha! So glad you're enjoying! Hug, and hope you're feeling better, too. One of my fun past times is " treasure hunting " on the Web. Just type in a word and search it under pictures or videos or anything you want, and all kinds of things come up. For this type of thing I just searched spiritual videos and explored what surfaced...there's a lot more!!! So if you run out you can try it! Guest guest
Thanks Dhyana, for posting those websites. Hehe! I came here to read and catch up, but have spent the last few hours listening to music/chanting by Sharon Janis. I really enjoyed that.
