Guest guest
By now all of you must have heard about what happened in Virginia today--nothing new if we compare notes with the daily news from Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. This is all very, very sad (to say the least). I'd like to propose that, whoever we are and wherever we live, we start taking measures to eradicate the culture of violence that is so deeply entrenched in our everyday lives. Just to name a few: violence is normalized in the movies we watch, the toys we buy for our kids, and the way we (and/or our governments) conceptualize society and the world. It doesn't have to be that way, and each of us can think of a thing or two we can do to initiate change. A different world IS possible. Love and light, Sel
Guest guest
Here, here! Well said, Selena. I do my part this end. I hope I can be an example if nothing else. I'm sure I can do better, too. Peace... Valarie
Guest guest
Amen Sel! If we all do our part then it has to make a difference. If we all give up, wave our hands and say " Nobody cares " then nobody does and the evil wins. Unfortunately, it is easier to be negative than positive. I think the most powerful thing we can do is to teach by example. I try to do my part and I am trying to bring my daughter up in a positive way. I don't allow her to watch TV. I have videos for her that are approved by us, contain no violence and have positive messages in them. I am appalled at the absolute crap that is on TV these days, along with the language! When I was a kid it was a big deal if the word " Hell " was said on TV, nowadays...EEK! Guest guest
I haven't heard what happened, tried to find out on google news, no luck. But, I am sure behind you on this on Sel, turn off violent tv, stop violent computer games, don't buy kids toy guns and weapons etc. Lets focus on Peace. everyday I imagine a big bubble of peace surrounding me and then I see it growing and growing. I also use the violet flame invocations, don't know if anyone is familiar with that, basically you invoke the power of the violet flame to transmute any misqualified energy, including violence, corruption, poverty and disease etc. The violet flame is a representation of the combining of the pink blue and yellow flames of the holy trinity, or even if you look at kundalini colours, red, white and blue combined makes violet also. So, if it resonates with you do a search on it, use it in your invocations. May peace with you, and may peace prevail on earth. Guest guest
I think it is important to be aware of our " oneness " , i.e to create a better world we have to pull together, to aid one another, starting small in our family, with our children. I live in a small country in Europe and when I was a child mountains and borders gave people a kind of security. Today we all know, violence happens anywhere, anytime. We are all " one " . Guest guest
It starts with the children. I try to teach the little people under my care it is unacceptable to hurt other beings who bear consciousness and light. But the grownups do not set a good example. They make war. They glorify hurtfulness (on all planes) in the entertainment media. They show gladiatorial clashes in huge stadia where thuggishness and violence are rewarded with $$$$. I weep for my children and the messages they receive from this world on how to be successful people. I fear for all children everywhere. It is difficult to detach from this sadness when you are a parent, even though I try to. I wish all the people of America love and light in this time of mourning. Reg.
