Guest guest
Thank you CC, LOL! It's been drummed into my head by my Italian mother (hmmph!) that it is a SIN to pray for money because you never know from where the money will come (inheritance being the bad luck way). You gave me a good chuckle, which I needed. Did you ever get to try the links to those dream sites I posted? I was wondering what you thought of them. Guest guest
Thank God, it gave you chuckle! I was worried about what I said from the moment I hit send. I have not had a chance to look at those links yet. My husband is home taking aweeks vacation and we have been doing some much needed house repairs. Thank God, he is too tired today and is taking a break from it, I needed a break too. I will go here in a little while and check them out. I have another dream to figure out. I have several dream books, but there is only one that I really like of the bunch. I used the others if this one doesn't " ring a bell " . This one is tittle " Cloud Nine-A Dreamers Dictionary " by Sandra A. Thomson. This is her website: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/women_thomson.shtml She is into tarot, big time. Guest guest
CC, you just keep making me chuckle! I haven't dusted off my Tarot cards in a looong time. This has reminded me of something that has been an issue for me too. It seems there are a number of Christians in this group, so I would love to hear your opinions on this. My father is what I call a " religious nut " . If he knew I had a set of Tarot cards, that I run a dream group and that my Kundalini is rising (gasp!) he would try to do an exorcism on me! He even thinks meditating by clearing your mind is bad. He says we should only meditate on the Lord. He drummed into my head that any kind of divination tools or anything not " of God " is evil. Naturally when I became born again it caused a great deal of anxiety and turmoil in me. I have had psychic experiences my whole life, have had precognitive feelings/dreams, read Tarot cards, experienced ghosts, seen auras, had OBEs etc. Here I was in my 20s, born again and feeling like a piece of taffy. I put away the Tarot cards and stopped pursuing anything " new age " as my father put it. But it was not my natural state and these things kept attracting me. I couldn't hide who I was or the psychic experiences I had. I finally gave in to this path. Surely I can believe in Jesus, be born again AND have other spiritual interests/experiences. One does not preclude the other. Sorry for the long post. I am wondering if any other Christians have had a similar conflict about these things or have a family member that causes problems. Guest guest
That might have been one of your guides that you used to talk to! As long as the info he gave you was good that is. I despise the way society kills psychic ability in children! My daughter is 2 and sees spirits. She also reads thoughts, which can be annoying, LOL. I am encouraging her gifts. I wonder if I am going to be able to handle her talents, which I think are going to far surpass mine. I intend to nurture her gifts any way I can so that she doesn't have to dig them back up later in life. Guest guest
I am probably not the one to answer this for I am not from a " religious nut " background. Those religious nuts would probably think I am the one who is the nuts. LOL! All those years I was involved in the christian churches, I did not reveal my true self much and did feel guilty at time. Hehe! They had no clue and there I was in charge of teaching their children. The ones I attended was of the non-denomination variety, not a whole lot of medievalish beliefs/actions. In fact, the ones I went too there at the end were very libral,(believed in letting Spirit move however it saw fit) back in those medieval days we would have been some of those burned at the stake. There were times when people would get moved by the spirit and run around the church dancing and carring on. I was worried a few times that some might get so happy they would strip butt naked and dance like David did. LOL! If you have never been in a church where all the people where laying in the floor giggling their heart out before the service was hardly begun, you haven't seen nothing. They were happy fun people, I can tell you that much, but I guess those sour prune faced " religious nuts " would not even consider that type christian. LOL! I went down for healing prayer once and was 'slang in the spirit'. I was there just about through the whole service glued to the floor, not able to move a muscle. I had not overcome my shyness yet (I was very, very shy child) so I was some what embarrassed. When I finally was able to moved, I got up and tried to get back to my set as inconspicuous as possible, but I walked like a drunk person and an usher had to help me to my set. I was healed though, so it was worth it. You cannot remain around people like that and stay shy. Hehe! I don't know why I told you all that, to give you another chuckle I guess. When I first began going to church, I was still smoking pot and they had me teaching within a months times. I knew without a doubt that the pastor knew I smoked pot and cigs. They excepted me just as I was, just like Jesus did. My experience with christianity was not so bad. In fact, I didn't realize until recently, just why so may people on these forums where so against christians, until I visited a christian forum or two. Before I came here, I was trying to find a christian OBE forum. How hilarious is that! I was so dumb, I didn't realize one would not exist. Bless you Sarita, get out you Tarot cards and have fun. Let Spirit lead you with them. You don't have to tell anyone, if you don't want too. Beside that the priest in the Old Testament and most likely in the New as well used method of divinations. I forget what the dudes name was, but he set out a fleece to determine what was God's will for him and Joseph and Daniel were dream interpreters. I think those priest even used pot in their anointing oil. I am pretty dang sure of it. What it was is they just didn't want the common people to know this, so some jots and tittles (sp) where added along the way. imho. I could point out some more instances if you would like. Like the disciples drawing lots to see who would replace Judas. Before I joined a church I was taught the bible for a good 6 months by a spirit being who told me he was Jesus. I believed him. He taught me well. He was the one who presuaded me, kicking and screaming to join a church and even told me which one he wanted me to go to. Sent the preacher to my door with a special unique invite even, to let me know it was not my imagination. LOL! LIFE IS FUN!
