Guest guest
I absolutely LOVE the new website. Great job Glen! However,I find the way the message board is laid out to be confusing. I find it much easier to read posts and answer them here than there. I wonder if there is a way we can see the messages more like here? I feel like the more messages there are on a thread the harder it will be to read them all, I feel like messages will get buried. Anyone else share the same concerns or am I alone? I am also wondering if we will be keeping this group? (I hope so!) Sarita
Guest guest
I do not understand what it so complex about the message board. If you have cookies enabled there will be different colored things to show you if there is a post in the thread that you have not seen. It is very simple, and alot more organized , " Sarita " <sarita1969 wrote: > > I absolutely LOVE the new website. Great job Glen! Guest guest
Me too! Here I can instantly see new messages and who they're from; I can also delete messages after I've read them, so there's not a lot of buildup, or I can save special messages in a folder. If I want to find an old post that I've deleted, I simply go the the group's home page and look it up! On the website (and it is visually stunning, no question), I have to open every topic and scroll down to the bottom to find the new posts. And nothing can be erased. Imagine what it will be like in a couple of years! I'll have to scroll past thousands of messages to get to the new ones...and there will be hundreds of topics. Unless, of course, there is some method in place to archive messages after a certain period of time...I don't know how that will work on the website. Some people have said that they like the fun graphic elements, like the emoticons and the ability to change font color, etc., on the new website. That IS fun, but the message is more important than the package it's delivered in IMHO, and everything here on the board is so straightforward and simple. Bottom line...can we keep both options available? I personally would rather use this board, so I hope it will not be scrapped. My opinion, Thanks for listening, Claudia --- Sarita <sarita1969 wrote: > I absolutely LOVE the new website. Guest guest
This group will stay here. The new message board is a blessing and once again i offer my gratitude to Glenn Olah and Chris Williams for there work and efforts in building the website site and the forum. My intention was not to replace this group or move it anywhere. It was for another website to be put into cyberspace for the benefit of those who are searching for help and friendship with in the context of the Kundalini and its phenomena. That we have more options is a good thing though and i have heard from others who enjoy it for the organized aspect of the topics. But this group will stay and function and continue, in , and they can data mine it to their hearts content. Maybe they will learn something. - blessings all - chrism
Guest guest
Excellent. What a fine beacon the website will provide to people seeking a home in Kundalini. Thanks again to Glen and Zappy for their excellent work...no offense was intended in my and Sarita's opinions. Blessings & love, Claudia --- chrism <> wrote: > This group will stay here. Guest guest
Oh, absolutely! A great way to find new initiates. I agree with Claudia, I meant no offense Zappy. I just prefer not to have to scroll through 50 messages to read the most recent in a thread. I like clicking on which responses I want to read. I am also resistant to change, a flaw of mine. Guest guest
I agree with you Sarita, I am very comfortable with this group and the way it works, I opened a seperate email account just for the K list and so find it very easy to use. Just get up, login and off I go. But, I am willing to try and get used to new things if it's all perfectly running and everyone is using it. But, I like the way this group works. But, I am still very grateful and loving the work done by Zappy and Glen. I am travelling also and so using the internet is more restricted so I tend to just stick to what I know , when I'm home again, I'll be more able to concerntrate on new horizons. Guest guest
I agree as well. Its good also to have a backup incase anything goes haywire with . I'm grateful for both. Guest guest
I am like most of you about the new forum. It is wonderful and we are blessed to have both of them and like Dhyana said, it is nice to have a backup incase goes haywire, which as we all know it does have a tendency to do so every once in a while. I think we send so much energy it doesn't know what to do. Hee, Hee. Anyway, they both have their pros and cons, but I am grateful for both of them. Love, Katherine novalees <Novalees Thursday, May 3, 2007 11:15:40 AM Re: Message Board Concerns I agree as well. Its good also to have a backup incase anything goes haywire with . Guest guest
I am confused on this. How it is to work. If everyone is going to stay here, of course, that is where I want to stay as well. If no one is going over there to keep it active with up to date post, even if someone where to happen upon it, they would think it dead and not stick around, may not even post. The little yellow icon lets you know what threads a new post has been made since you where there last. The way I do it is to click on the highlighted icon thread and then click on the side bar and bring it all the way to the bottom and then scroll back to to the last post that's been made since I was there last. I can see where it can be a problem to those you get the new post each day through e-mail, though. Some of those types of forums do have the option to have new post sent to the person's e-mail. I've never chose to do it that way though, so I don't know how it works. I do this forum the same as the new one. When I click on, I click to show all messages and then scroll back to the last post highlighted showing which post I last read and work my way back to the top. Some days I have to go back a couple of pages. Like tonight. Hehe! The new forum just keeps the threads separated, rather than all mixed together, the way this one is.
