Guest guest
Hello Sarita. Ever hear the story of The Eagle and the Turkeys? There's a little book out by Peter Lord if you ever want to. In a nutshell: " Don't Let The Turkeys Get You Down © Charlie Page Have you ever heard the story of the baby eagle that fell from it's nest only to land in a family of turkeys? He grew up thinking he was a turkey. He ate with the turkeys. He slept with the turkeys. He even acted like a turkey. But he knew in his heart that he wasn't a turkey. And one day he looked up to see an eagle soaring majestically in the afternoon sky. At that moment he knew that he was an eagle. " Sarita, Jesus Christ is an Eagle. Those who are truly His disciples know that. The rest play around with religion and all its trappings, never learning to fly. They are the turkeys, happy in what they're doing. Its not a negative, just a different species! No matter how hard you try, if you're an eagle you won't fit in with the turkeys...and vice versa. The Spirit has to be free in Christ. Legalism is Turkeyism. Paul said, " All things are lawful, but not all things are expedient. " Just some things to chew on! All imho, of course! Big hug. Love, dhyana --- Sarita <sarita1969 wrote: This has reminded me of something that has > been an issue for me too. Guest guest
Dhyana, you are such a breath of fresh air! I love what you had to say about this, what a great way of looking at it. My father is definately one of the turkeys and I am an eagle. You can take the girl out of flight but you can't take the flight out of the girl! Guest guest
Yum, I taste freedom in the air! " If the Son makes you free, you are free indeed " and don't let anyone tell you other wise! You FLY, girl! And if they DO bug you (are you a southern belle?) just dance the Funky Chicken around them before you take to the sky. Maybe there's some sleeping eagles among them that need to see what an eagle looks like...and it will call to them. Be free. Much love, dhyana --- Sarita <sarita1969 wrote: > Dhyana, you are such a breath of fresh air! Guest guest
Sarita, I like you did at one time because of the way I was raised, but again like you I have learned that it is not as I was taught (to be evil). I love the way that Dhyana stated it. Love, Katherine novalees <Novalees Thursday, May 3, 2007 12:33:58 AM Re: To Be or Not To Be - Sarita Hello Sarita.
