Guest guest
Here is a link I found describing the toxicity of hot honey, it is at the bottom. Also, this food chart is one that has been popping up as 'the new diet', although it is ancient. it was featured in Carrie L'esperance's book " The Seasonal Detox Diet " . It is all about promoting proper digestion, balancing the fire and the cold, alkalinity and acidity. http://www.ayurveda.com/online%20resource/food_combining.pdf I do not fully follow this chart, as it is hard sometimes to give up the goodness, but the bits about melon, milk and combining proteins is really important. That is, of course, unless your K is screaming at you to eat beef with eggs...lol Hope this helps Kerry , Katherine Miller <katsam19 wrote: > > Cool, I didn't know that! Guest guest
Cool, the information looks GREAT, I just printed it out so that I can read it and refer back to it when I need to! Thank you so very much for providing me with this information. I never knew that I was poisoning myself, not to mention my kids! I have gotten them to drink hot teas and I encouraged it through the adding of the honey. You know that show, " Honey we're killing the kids! " , well I guess in a sense I was huh! No worries of course, they don't drink it that much, but still! Anyway, thank you for the information. Just for the record, I am like you, got have some of the good stuff. Guest guest
I still haven't found out why honey becomes a gross sludge in the digestive system when hot, and other sweetners like maple syrup don't. If anyone comes across this, please let us know!! I just know I'm going to stay away from it! Guest guest
I am so disappointed to hear that! I love a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey especially when I am feeling lousy. : ( Sarita , " kiwibird_222 " <sktimms wrote: > > I still haven't found out why honey becomes a gross sludge in the digestive system when > hot, and other sweetners like maple syrup don't.
