Guest guest
Hi Kerry, I try to stick to having the odd glass of red wine, now and again. I rarely get drunk, I think my leaving party / birthday bash with the girls was the one day this year when I felt a little tipsy. But my K has not fully risen, perhaps when I reach further down the path my body won't desire this liquid and I'll go off it. I trust my body to master it's cravings. Go with your flow, love and peace Elektra x x x --- " Stephen O. " <stephen_1952 wrote: > Hi Kerry > > I believe that a couple of beers or a glass of wine > won't do any harm. Guest guest
I'm a wine drinker. And that is one glass (and maybe a top-up) on the weekends after supper with my husband. So 3-4 glasses a week. I don't drink to get drunk, don't even get tipsy. I love the taste, smell and texture of a good glass of wine (my favorite is red). I know about the heart benefits of moderate wine drinking and the resveratol/antioxidants but I really drink it for the luxury of that taste. As for getting drunk, I haven't gotten drunk, like falling asleep, puking in the morning, hung-over drunk since college (25 years ago). Been there done that learned from it. I got very affectionate. I was the type to tell everyone I loved them when I got that way...my true nature, maybe, which I hold back when " normal " . I don't do beer, or hard liquor. Might have Irish creme in coffee once in a blue moon at a restaurant. And because the wine thing is a sort of loving ritual I've shared with my husband since we were dating, I don't see that going away and if it did, he'd be disturbed by it. So unless it is really detrimental to have any drink at all, I don't see giving this up. I realize it would be preferable to have nothing alcoholic. Or caffeinated. Geez, maybe the Mormons have it right after all...no, I'm not one. But live near many and some of my friends are Mormon (the community choir I sing in is about 60% Mormon), despite my " heathen " ways! LOL So, since we are doing " True Confessions " here, there's mine! ;-) Love to all of you, Valarie
