Guest guest
Hi My name is Rod.I have always been interested in Obe and astral projection. In the 1960's I used to read books by Paul Bunton who visited guru's and enlightened people throughout India. From his writings I formed the opinion that it would be almost impossible for the average westener to achieve kundalini awakening.Work and family commitments disallowing time to practice and meditate. Chrism's comments on the obe groups, always seemed very knowledgable and rekindled my interest in kundalini.I have since discovered I was wrong in my opinion on the time frame. However, Brunton also warned of the dangers of trying to raise the kundalini before being spiritually ripe so to speak. Now we would all like to think we are truly spiritual, and some are,but I know what goes on in my head and it certainly isn't always nice let alone spiritual.I wish it was, but we have to live in the real world. I am looking forward to learning from you guys, but Ihope you will forgive me if I just be a lurker for awhile. kind regards Rod

Guest guest
You bring up a good point Rod. What is important to have is control of the inner dialogue and in doing so the control of the inner mind or thoughts. We all have imperfect thoughts. The Hindu model is accurate in that they do stress the importance of having a pure heart and mind and they dedicate much to accomplish those qualities. In the practice espoused here, we incorporate the model of forgiveness. We forgive ourselves and those we interact with for the unclean attitudes and activity that can occur from us and around us. It isn't easy here in the west amidst the drive to survive and the artificial environments, the EMF, the violence and the oversexed attitudes that prevail here. But it is possible and Kundalini can happen of its own accord. This is a natural function of the human body and the Kundalini will come if it is time or the individual seeks it out, which means it is time. So we must do our best to keep our thoughts clean and pure and to learn from the mistakes we make and to forgive ourselves and others for those mistakes. We must do our best. This doesn't cancel out the importance of the dark sides of our nature but puts us in the driver's seat of when and where and if those natures are to be expressed. - > From Rod > > Hi > My name is Rod.I have always been interested in Obe and astral > projection. In the 1960's I used to read books by Paul Bunton who > visited guru's and enlightened people throughout India. From his > writings I formed the opinion that it would be almost impossible for > the average westener to achieve kundalini awakening.Work and family > commitments disallowing time to practice and meditate. > Chrism's comments on the obe groups, always seemed very > knowledgable and rekindled my interest in kundalini.I have since > discovered I was wrong in my opinion on the time frame. However, > Brunton also warned of the dangers of trying to raise the kundalini > before being spiritually ripe so to speak. Now we would all like to > think we are truly spiritual, and some are,but I know what goes on in > my head and it certainly isn't always nice let alone spiritual.I wish > it was, but we have to live in the real world. > I am looking forward to learning from you guys, but Ihope you > will forgive me if I just be a lurker for awhile. > kind regards > Rod > > ________ > Looking for earth-friendly autos? > Browse Top Cars by " Green Rating " at Autos' Green Center. > http://autos./green_center/ > >
