This may or may not be helpful for native English speakers who are comfortable with English phonetics, but those of us who use English as a second language (like myself) might find this version easier to memorize :-P Also, please note that the mantra below is an excerpt from a much longer puja mantra. Sometimes abbreviated forms of mantras are used to obtain the same results--see Gayatri mantra.
