Guest guest
I like the Evolution Surge theory... ie: We are having a mass upsurge in our evolution. Becoming more aware. Not matter the 10,000 theories as to what is causing this change. Personally, I'm ready for a change...I'm really getting bored with " Anna Nicole " and " Paris Hilton " stories on T.V. (No offense to their fans). :) Stepehn C. , " a_seventh_son " <a_seventh_son wrote: > > my guess - involuntary and unconscious mass awakening. Guest guest
damn straight :-) I do think that our fascination with those " stars " is definitely telling us something however... there is a critical absence of life being lived and valued by the 'little people' and it must instead be sought through crass materialism and human idol worship. I don't believe things will change without catastrophic events that force either evolution or obsolescence. And this obsolescence has little to do with whether you're an investment banker or a janitor, whether you went to Harvard Law or the school of hard knocks, nor even if you're in the 98+% of IQ... nor anything of the sort. It is an obsolesence of an altogether different kind. I do not know whether others will concur with these intuitions but suspect some will feel the truth of their impact. -brian , " Stephen AKA Master Condrey " <stephencondrey wrote: > > I like the Evolution Surge theory... > ie: We are having a mass upsurge in our evolution. Guest guest
I and my intuitions concur with yours, Brian! Nicely worded response--every word of it! :) Stephen C. , " a_seventh_son " <a_seventh_son wrote: > > damn straight :-) > > I do think that our fascination with those " stars " is definitely > telling us something however... there is a critical absence of life > being lived and valued by the 'little people' and it must instead be > sought through crass materialism and human idol worship. > > I don't believe things will change without catastrophic events that > force either evolution or obsolescence. Guest guest
Thanks for the vote of confidence Stephen (though it's a bit disconcerting that our intuitions match, as it begs the question, what other intuitions match!)... now if only we could do something about ridding ourselves of that evolutionary atavism known as 'money' :-) -brian , " Stephen AKA Master Condrey " <stephencondrey wrote: > > I and my intuitions concur with yours, Brian! > Nicely worded response--every word of it! > :) > Stephen C. Guest guest
I dunno know about your situation... But, in my environment " Money " is on the endangered species list... So, I believe that the universe once again in is in control! :) SC , " a_seventh_son " <a_seventh_son wrote: > > Thanks for the vote of confidence Stephen (though it's a bit > disconcerting that our intuitions match, as it begs the question, > what other intuitions match!)... now if only we could do something > about ridding ourselves of that evolutionary atavism known > as 'money' :-) > > -brian > > , " Stephen AKA > Master Condrey " <stephencondrey@> wrote: > > > > I and my intuitions concur with yours, Brian! > > Nicely worded response--every word of it! > > :) > > Stephen C. >
Guest guest
Just a middle-class wage slave here, well, doing ok for age 27 I guess... I've just always felt that " money " is a fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of the universe. Rather the triumph of materialism, if we define an 'evolutionary' end or purpose as the summum bonum of our individual lives. Even couching it in " spiritual " terms or reframing it as " spiritual " evolution, it's just another world of inequity of limited resources, exclusivity and power dynamics, i.e. same old story, different words. :-) -brian > I dunno know about your situation... > But, in my environment " Money " is on the endangered species list... > So, I believe that the universe once again in is in control! > :) > SC
Guest guest
I understand where you are coming from... But, on the brighter side: with enlightment--the whole picture comes into focus and " that stuff " starts to blur. I have a sneaky suspicion we are going to make it! Have a pleasant night! :) SC , " a_seventh_son " <a_seventh_son wrote: > > Just a middle-class wage slave here, well, doing ok for age 27 I > guess... Guest guest
It's funny, you know... a natural ecosystem is the composite of countless millions of organisms adapted to an environmental niche, as predator and as prey. The worm doesn't dream of becoming a lion, it just 'is' a worm; the lioness doesn't suddenly have a midlife crisis and decide it's just not cut out to be hunting prey all day or that it slaves at this for an unappreciative male that sleeps most of the day and uses her for sex and caring for the kids! They don't have to think about it. Civilization is an attempt at rising from the natural order, but in the end, often just ends up mirroring it imperfectly. Business and where the money flows shows us ourselves, not as we think ourselves to be but as we collectively ARE and what priorities we have. And on that note, have a good night! -brian , " Stephen AKA Master Condrey " <stephencondrey wrote: > > I understand where you are coming from... > But, on the brighter side: with enlightment--the whole picture comes > into focus and " that stuff " starts to blur. > I have a sneaky suspicion we are going to make it! > Have a pleasant night! > :) > SC
Guest guest
Hello Stephen I have to agree with you one hundred percent, and the same no offense. You are great to read all the time. I have learned lots from your wisdom and your wit. You seem to be a true definition of a person who has been put through the ringer, and came out a gem. Love, Peace and Health; Stephen O.
