Guest guest
Welcome Alexandria, nice to have you join us! Love, Katherine Alexandria <ladyinsubstance Tuesday, May 15, 2007 7:37:04 PM New member hello I posted this to another group - kundaliniheat - and I am posting it here also: I hesitate to claim that I am experiencing any particular thing, such as a Kundalini awaking, though it seems the best description I have yet to find to describe it. I am not religious, nor do I follow any particular spiritual teachings. What I believe comes from my own experience and intuition only and it tends to change gradually all of the time, as I change. A few weeks ago, I was attempting to practice a new relaxation technique I had found with the aim of trying to deal better with my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome symptoms. Several times I had " relaxed into " the fatigue and felt mild feelings of light-headedness. This time, the feeling was far more intense and as I concentrated on just letting whatever feeling happen that seemed to want to happen, I experienced a rush of feeling up my body to my head with chills and tingling and something like a feeling of euphoria. For a half hour or so, I had to concentrate on allowing the feelings to happen but after that, they persisted on their own. Eventually, I started having something like mild hallucinations as if there were beings in the shadows of my apartment or just outside the window talking. I got spooked for a while but was able to calm down with the aid of a friend on the telephone. He also helped me to come down from that high since I was afraid to remain that way for too long. The whole experience lasted for an hour or two. I described this experience to another friend who insisted I needed to read " Living with Kundalini " by Gopi Krishna. Though my experience differed in many ways from the author's, there were enough similarities that I was intrigued. But the biggest factor in convincing me that I was probably experiencing Kundalini was a memory of several experiences I had as a child, laying in bed at night, feeling an electric current make it's way relentlessly up my spine, despite my attempts to stop it, and exploding in my head with deafening sounds (and perhaps light, though my memories are hazy past the experience of sound). I felt totally out of control of my body at those times and utterly terrified. I never told anyone about them and I have no memory of any after-effects. I was however, an an unusually introverted and philosophical child and always had my own theories on consciousness which closely mirror many eastern philosophies though I had never heard of any of them, having been raised prudishly Catholic. There is a lot more I could add about my experiences but I don't want this to get too long. I've had a number of other unusual experiences in my life that I now think may relate to this but I am only just beginning to consider the ramifications. I now can enter a calm-yet-energetic state at will most of the time. And yesterday I was positively euphoric for most of the day. Quite a wonderful experience. I'd enjoy any comments or feedback anyone may have. ______________________________\ ____Ready for the edge of your seat? Guest guest
Hi Alexandria I think you had a great experience. In my experience religion has nothing to do with kundalini. When a person is ready or if they are accidentally activated they are probably more spiritual than they realize. Love and Light; Stephen O.
