Even if it were possible to " lose the ego " , I do not think the results would be at all desirable. It's the expectation of appreciation that becomes problematic, not the presence of ego per se but the sense of putting it inside a feedback loop of its own imagined greatness :-) wherein the entire universe becomes a hymn of praise to that ego. When my intuition tells me to give someone a well deserved complement I find it well worth the effort to follow it. I am glad that it was uplifting to you, and you are very welcome.
