Guest guest
Ouuu, a good question...the whole idea of seeing one's hands while OB is a tricky one. I don't notice my hands unless (1) they happen to pass in front of my eyes or (2) I happen, intentionally, to think of them and look at them while OB. In this OBE, I had not thought of or looked at my hands or body. When I saw the animals and when I flew with them, they looked physical, and so did my hands when my attention was drawn to them as a result of them joining theirs (their paws) with mine (my hands). I've had about two dozen OBEs (not as many as I'd like...I'm in a slump since I turned my attention to K). In my first conscious OBE, I was very much aware of my body since it had taken so much practice and effort to induce a conscious OBE (about three months of daily practice), so I was very much aware of my body. After I floated out of my body and found myself in the bedroom, I took great relish in every sensation I was getting...the way I felt floating out of body and getting control of my movements...then I floated to the bedroom door (closed) and put my hand through the door to see what it felt like, rather than just rushing through it...I felt some resistance as I moved throught the door. Then I found that I returned to my body much more quickly than I wanted to. In other OBEs, I happened to think of my body as soon as I left it, and I looked at my hands...they looked transparent and sparkling. In one OBE, I was not rising or sinking out of my body as usual, so I experimented with raising my arms and legs. I raised my right leg and it did not act as my physical leg would have...it rotated WAY beyond the 45 degrees that it would have rotated physicaly and ended up lying on my chest... strange. My leg looked very light and transparent. In another OBE, as soon as I found myself OB, I thought of my body and purposely looked at my arm and it was transparent and teeming with lights that looked like stars. The OB state is so transient as to make observations about it totally contingent on the person, the circumstances, the individual's focus at the time, etc., etc., etc......and the list goes on and on.
