Guest guest
Today at church I volunteered to join one of the members in a ministering program that he is starting. It is called " Walking in Jesus' Footsteps " . This member goes out and ministers to the needy and I feel that I am being lead to join him! Hallejulah! I am also going to continue to volunteer at the Kitchen and at church. I am also going to sign up with the Red Cross and help there as well. This is my service to God and man! Love, Katherine
Guest guest
That is so wonderful Kat! I don't know where you find the time to do all this. I wish I had the availability to do volunteer work, but between working, hubby and toddler...I'm lucky if I get a few minutes to get online at night when she goes to bed! Good for you! Guest guest
Sarita, darling, I do understand where you are coming from! I have two boys who were young once and it was almost impossible to get away. They are older now and can take care of themselves for a little while. They stayed home by themselves yesterday while I worked at the kitchen because my husband is out of town. My husband and I find time to talk and be with each other even if it is for just a few minutes. He calls me from work on his lunch break most every day and we talk them as well. I don't work. God has blessed me with being able to stay home with my boys and to be here for them every day when they come home from school. My husband's and my philosophy is that if we can't afford it we don't need it! The boys are priority right now, I have plenty of time to do what I want when they are gone on their own. Money has never really been important to us so it makes it easier to live off one paycheck and not worry! We know that God has our backs and will make sure we are taken care of! My staying home was my choice and there is no regret! Smiles! Matter of fact, I am one of 4 children and I am also the only one who does not work! Sure I have a degree and to most people not using it is a waste, but I only got it for a personal goal with the option to use it if I decided to do so. I haven't decided to though. I volunteer for the church on Sunday and during the week when needed. I sacrifice my Saturday for others. I pray and ask God to guide me through each day and He does just that, allowing me to have the time needed. As for the ministering God will allow me the time I need to do that! I must allow Him to set my path that I must walk. He lead me to that particular church and has lead me to do this. It will work out, I feel very sure of it. As for the Red Cross, I will do it at least once or twice a week, more if I am needed! One day when your daughter is older you will have more time! That is if you don't have another little miricle! Hee, Hee! Don't fret! You are doing a service! You are helping others through your group! That is your calling! You are helping others and making a difference! You are very good at what you do! Keep up the GREAT work! Love, Katherine Anyway, , " Sarita " <sarita1969 wrote: > > That is so wonderful Kat! I don't know where you find the time to do > all this. Guest guest
Thank you Kat, you are so sweet! I wish that I didn't have to work. My husband is trying hard to start a successful business to that I don't have to anymore. I would LOVE to be home with Alexandra instead of at work. But in a way, I feel that my work is part of my service to others. I work in an oncology office and I try to help sick people as much as I can. I never really thought of the dream work as a service, but a number of people have mentioned it as such and I suppose that it is. I'm sure my time is coming when I can do more like you are. I'm proud of you and all that you are doing! Sarita , " Katherine " <katsam19 wrote: > > Sarita, darling, I do understand where you are coming from! Guest guest
You go there girl..... I can't think of anything more rewarding then helping others. Your energy is growing and you must spend time out and about with people, I think it's very important. You will touch many with your " holy fire " and they will help your flames to grow ever brighter, until one day, so many flames will cover this blessed planet , it will be so bright, they will blame it on global warming.... hee hee LOL. You are a blessing Katherine and an inspiration to all, lots of love Elektra x x x --- Katherine <katsam19 wrote: > Today at church I volunteered to join one of the > members in a > ministering program that he is starting.
