A lesson on being a blessing

Yesterday I received a lesson about being a blessing to others while

food shopping. Yes, I said food shopping.

As I walked through the store pushing my cart, my daughter (she's 2)

proceeded to say " Hi! " or " Hi! Howaya? " with a huge smile to everyone

we passed. If they didn't immediately answer, she'd say it a bit

louder, lol. There was one old woman in particular who looked very

pinched and depressed. Once my daughter got a hold of her, she was

grinning from ear to ear! She cheered up half the store and me in the

process.

If we want to learn something about being a blessing, we should watch

a little innocent child at work (play).

That she is! She has a beautiful soul, not a mean bone in her body.

Thats the truth, children know exactly what to do and

aren't shy about doing it.

I used to sing and dance to the old ladies and

gentlemen on the bus, train and shops when I was

young.

I would also try on the posh hats in the department

stores and do dynasty impressions to make the old

ladies giggle, those were the days.

I'm far more reserved nowadays.

But not too reserved luckily :)

Elektra, I have an idea! Go to the store and try on hats and do a impression and

see what happens! Hee, hee! See if you can make someone smile like you used to

when you were a kid! Hee, hee! I think that would be funny!

Love,

Katherine
