Guest guest
Thanks, Elektra. It's always wonderful to have plenty of good advice. How should I view Shakti goddess, as I say this prayer? Would she be an equivalent of Mary, but in the Hindu religion? If I pray to god, is it still okay for me to pray to the Shakti Goddess? Then again, all is created by God, I guess even the Shakti Goddess, so I will not have any worries, right? I feel like a little alien taking his first steps on a new planet.lol Love and warm blessings to you, Tara Elektra Fire <elektra.fire wrote: I'm sure others have answered you by now Tara, but I thought I'd say that when I began I did each exercise 7 times once a day. And I built up gradually over a month. Until I could happily spin like a whirling dervish, and do yoga stretches no problem. I think you should work up to, no point straining the body or else it will seem too much to do. I'm so happy you are beginning the practise, it really is wonderful, it has changed my life. So many things began to unblock. Also, the forgiveness is so important, forgiving yourself is perhaps the most difficult thing to do. So, daily go over anything you can think of to forgive and keep doing it until you don't think about it anymore. There is also the goddess prayer to say.... earth air fire snow, to the goddess I now go, Shakti dear i ask of thee, release the sacred fire in me x3 permenentlyx3 say this 3 times or 6 times or 9 times. I like to say it in the shower or while working. Good luck love, Elektra x x x ________ Answers - Got a question? Someone out there knows the answer. Try it now. http://uk.answers./ Don't be flakey. Guest guest
hi Tara, We pray to shakti as shiva and shakti are linked to the tradition of Kundalini, they just represent the female and male aspects of divinity. When you do the compression breathing (nostril breathing) you can pray to whoever you are comfortable with. I believe that all deities and saints and angels exist, hindu, christian, muslim, buddhist. You just connect to who you feel most comfortable with. I love shakti personally, and have a great big wall hanging with her on that i lay across my bed. She is the " blue goddess " , Mother Mary is also associated with the colour blue I believe. So, welcome little alien, I'm an alien too!!!
