Circle of Blessings

Place a saucer on a piece of paper and draw a pencil lightly around

it to make a circle. In the very center of this circle use the

pencil to create a small dot. Now imagine that you are the dot and

from your perspective in the center, you can see the circle in its

completeness. You know that every part of the line is curved to

make up the circle and that every little segment is part of the

perfect whole boundary.

 

Now erase the dot in the center and draw a new dot very close to

the inside edge of the circle. Once again, this new dot is you.

Next, erase all of the circle except for one small section no more

than a quarter-inch wide directly in front of the dot. Note that

other than losing that which is around it, this section is not

changed in the least. It is still part of the perfect curvature

that is the circle, but with only this small part now visible, it

looks straight. As the dot standing so close to the edge of this

circle, this one small very straight piece of the whole would be

all you would see. This would be your perspective. Oftentimes this

is how we view the world. Because we are so close to the

experience, we can see only one small straight and narrow segment.

We miss the perfect, never-ending circle entirely.

 

Blessings abound in our universe. Before we can see them, however,

we sometimes need to step back into center and accept that we are

encompassed by a ever-flowing circle of life that is good and whole

and blessing-filled.

 

 

May you always be willing to step back to center where your truth

abides.

 

And may you always be aware that you are loved beyond measure and a

cherished blessing to me.
