Guest guest
Hello friends, I hope you are all doing well and that you had a wonderful and safe day! For those who wanted to know the date for my family and my baptismal, it will be held this coming Sunday, June 3, 2007 at approximately 2:00 p.m. EST in the Atlantic Ocean along the shores of Satellite Beach, Florida. Please pray that the waters warm up because my husband and I are going to freeze our buhonkus' (hinny) off if it doesn't. Smiles! My kids might like it as they have been swimming since March, but being that I am cold natured anyway, so I need really warm. My husband just might be able to tolerate it. Please pray that all goes well and the weather is nice for this special event. Being you are my extended family, I would like for you to join me in prayer at the time of our baptism, as well as join my family and me in spirit. Anyway, this will be a very special day for all of us! I will update you afterwards. Love, Katherine
Guest guest
Congrats! My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I used to live in Florida many years ago. I lived in Stuart, Port Saint Lucy, West Palm Beach, and Fort Pierce- before moving up to cold, cold, Pennsylvania ( " Why, oh why? " lol). Is Satellite Beach near to any of those places? I wonder how far I would have been from where you are. Love, Tara Katherine <katsam19 wrote: Hello friends, I hope you are all doing well and that you had a wonderful and safe day! Guest guest
Hello Tara, and thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! They will be very much appreciated. Satellite Beach is north of West Palm Beach, I think by about 2 hours. It is actually about 6 miles from Cocoa Beach and about 15 miles from Cape Canaveral. I think Port Saint Lucy is also just south of us, but I am not sure. My sister lives up in Pa in King of Prussia on the eastern part of Pa. I know how cold it can be just from her. You can be a snowbird and come down and stay for a while in the winter! Hee, hee! It would be cool if you still lived in West Palm Beach, then I would have you south and Claudia north and we could have all met in the middle. Don't you want to move back here? Smiles! Anyway, thanks again for your prayers and thoughts! I wanted to know how is your uncle doing? Love, Katherine tara jacoby <tjmassage7777 Wednesday, May 30, 2007 12:48:29 AM Re: Baptismal! Smiles! Guest guest
I will keep you and family in my prayers Katherine. When I was baptised it was the year we lived in North Dakota. It came a little cold front that morning and it was so cold steam was coming out our breath. I like icy water, it's very exhilarating. I can't imagine Florida water ever being to cold. I thought people swim there all year round. Blessings to you and your family. Guest guest
Thank you CC for your prayers! It means a lot to me. NO offense intended, but I am so glad it isn't going to be that cold! I DON'T like cold water, especially when I am being submerged in it! Smiles! I am a cold natured person anyway, but still! The waters around here do get cold. The surfers wear wetsuits during the winter months here! We may not have a very cold winter, but that water can sure get frigid! BUT, I guess the best way to get used to it fast is a quick submersion, RIGHT! And if you are crazy then you go swimming year round! Hee, hee! Guest guest
That's cute. I had moved (with my family) to Stuart Florida when I was 5. I'll never forget the t-shirt I my mom bought for me back then. It said Cocoa Beach, and as a 5 yr old chocoholic, you can imagine..I wore it out! I remember thinking, " Wow! A cocoa beach! " , and begging my parents to take me there. Since my dad refused to drive out of the way just to let me see 'what a cocoa beach looked like' (or to show me that it wasn't really cocoa, hee, hee!), I just imagined being there whenever I wore the shirt. I think my mom had to sneak it out of the wash and throw it away, cause it got old! lol Now I I live about 35 minutes from King of Prussia. That's where I go for my new products training for my cosmetic line. They always hold class at the Sheratin hotel there, by the King of Prussia mall. I like that mall, because they have a store called Shades of Africa, and it has incense and all kinds of unique things, like animal shaped hair pins that look like chopsticks, and gem stones and all kinds of tribal stuff. It's so neat. I would probably like to move somewhere in between here and Florida. I would love to be where it's not too hot and not too cold. A place where you get all the beauty of the seasons, though. I don't believe I remember Florida having that. I don't think I remember leaves changing color there, either. Do they? I have some pretty bad memories tied to Florida. I don't know if I'd be able to look at it again, but someday I'd like to think that I got past everything..even enough to go back and smile in the face of even the worst memories. Then maybe you'll see me there one day, and I'll be running along the waves, feeling free. That would be amazing, and I'd feel invincible! hee, hee! I just bought a Hemi-Sync c.d. called Let Go. It's pretty awesome. Hopefully that will help, as I am ever striving toward becoming a new me. I am in love with the kind of evolution I experience through meditation, obe, and prayer. When till I activate K , wow!!!! I can't wait till Shaktipat. I know I have to make my declaration first. I will do it soon. I just want a few more days to feel like I'm good enough..like I won't forget anything. My uncle lost a lot of muscle and strength from lying in bed for the past few weeks. I just talked to my Aunt, and she said that my cousins get him out of bed and into a chair for a few hours, some days during the week! So he is regaining strength, and he is fighting. I guess his body is tired from either the sickness or the chemo, and he's just taking little baby steps now. She said that plans have been made to get him walking again, so that's a good sign. Anyway, I am so thankful to God,and for all the prayers and good energy. I am thankful for his health and his life and his gift of brightness of soul. It makes me happy to think he'll be able to shine for a bit longer now. Thanks everyone, for all of your prayers! Guest guest
That is really cute, cocoa! I like the thing about your shirt too, I have had to do that with some of my kids' shirts. I myself had a couple of shirts that I just utterly adored! But I like your story, chocolate! Imagine all of the chocolate lovers who would live here or visit here if that were the case. Hee, hee! The United States just might be leaning this way, and that man and woman Elektra talked about standing on the beach with the little umbrella, just might be in the water instead! Hee, hee! As for the seasons, I am like you, I want to live somewhere where you experience all the seasons and down here you don't! I love to see the leaves in the fall when they change colors, this was my first winter here and NO I didn't see many leaves change at all. I love the mountains of NC because it is just so beautiful in the Fall. We lived there for about 3 years and I miss it. As for letting go of the memories, maybe one day you will be able too. Actually I know you will! Just keep working at it and one day when you wake up it will have happened. All will be forgiven and passed! It is so exciting to hear about you uncle! Fantastic! I know that it will be hard for him, but he will make it. As for the weakness, probably a mix of everything he has gone through! Keep me up on his recovery and I will keep him in my prayers and thoughts. Love, Katherine tara jacoby <tjmassage7777 Wednesday, May 30, 2007 8:21:12 AM Re: Baptismal! Smiles! That's cute. Guest guest
I second that, great news, Tara! My mom was close to dead a couple of years ago and she pulled through, with much prayer from family and friends and she is still with us doing really great. She was so weak she could not walk for a long time, but is doing good with one of does rolling walkers now. I love hearing good news!
