Guest guest
Isn't that because you love your friend/family member, therefore the pain is greater...and therefore the pain harder to let go of? And you expect more of someone you love, which again makes the hurt they caused greater and forgiveness more of a hurdle? You don't care about an enemy, therefore the forgiveness is little more than an acknowledgement that the hurt they caused is so small as to not really matter. Guest guest
It is directly reflected in the Buddhist philosophy of attachment being the cause behind all pain and suffering. And that includes our attachment of friends and family. The greater the attachment the more pain and despair may be manifested. We live in a dualistic world - it is also true we forgive to the extent we love. imho. , Claudia Lambright <newtfoodbowl wrote: > > Isn't that because you love your friend/family member, > therefore the pain is greater...and therefore the pain > harder to let go of?
