Guest guest
All good observations, Danny! In my case, I had just done my morning 3-mile brisk walk and was feeling very good, then sat in the shower and let the water run down over my head and body. Then I just had this thread come into my mind, like it was reaching for my attention...it was very pleasant and appealing and I allowed myself to surrender to it. Suddenly, a scene appeared before my closed eyes! I was a black woman, squatting at the edge of a sun-drenched field under a shady tree with a group of other black men and women; I got the feeling that we were resting after having worked in that field. I felt several emotions: tired, yet strangely strong and invigorated, like I had just had a good workout; and proud of our group effort. The vision lasted just about 10 seconds, then it was gone as quickly as it came. I believe that what prompted the memory to come up was the similarity in how I felt at the moment (tired, but invigorated since I'd just had a brisk 3-mile walk), and the position I was in (squatting/sitting in the shower). PLUS, ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to crawl up under overhanging branches and squat and look out!! Trees, bushes, grape arbors, whatever...it's very strange, but now I really feel like it's tied in with my memory of that life. My only past-life memory so far!
