Guest guest
Hell when recently meditating i found myself in a state i had experienced a few months before hand, very distinct from all others that I am unsure of what brought me to it other then my regular practices its hard to discribe it other then being on top of my mind,i mean all my thoughts are going on thinking to themselves but i'm detached from it yet still completly awake and in my body infact all the pain which i usually experience in sitting meditation is gone, and most distinctly i feel i have perfect control and can induce kundalini spikes up my body.its like my entire being is in my mind,as if its water if i choose to breath up in a certain direction a wave of firey white energy will shoot threw there But the thing is i can't seem to cause this state at will i am not sure if this has any name or what it is.anyone know what i'm talking about? Guest guest
Hi Ben, Would you say it's like you shut not only your eyes but also your entire sense of body? Like your clarified consciousness still seemed to be centered roughly where your head ought to be, but your head, body and surroundings seemed to be on a channel that you temporarily weren't especially tuned in to anymore? If these ideas seem to fit, what you experienced was most likely based in the state Robert Monroe called " Focus 10 " , or " Mind Awake, Body Asleep " . This state can indeed be learnt over time - even simply remembering how it felt helps in this respect. I'm not sure if the more pyrotechnic aspects have a label or not, but they sound superb! Guest guest
Hi Ben, Yes, that's a great state to be in--whatever its name. Samadhi is probably the next step, but you are definitely on the right path. I agree that this state cannot be induced intentionally. I think there are internal factors (energetic states such as emotions and moods) as well as, probably, external factors and energies contributing to it (though I cannot really put my finger on it). Plus, the K has its own cycles that are pretty independent of our will. Something else I found is that, if I meditate long enough (more than one hour), I am more likely to induce deeper states just like the one you described. As usual, perseverance is the key. Guest guest
It sounds to me that you experienced your soul, apart from the mind and body. Had you wanted to, I suspect you could have separated completely (to all appearances) and become just a unit of awareness totally removed from your body in a void (or perhaps an ocean of light and sound). Continued blessings to you :-) Paul > " Ben Dover " <setiamon > > > is this samadhi > " superconciousness' ?A experience >Fri, 01 Jun 2007 08:43:14 -0000 > >Hell when recently meditating i found myself in a state i had >experienced a few months before hand, very distinct from all others >that I am unsure of what brought me to it other then my regular practices > >its hard to discribe it other then being on top of my mind,i mean all >my thoughts are going on thinking to themselves but i'm detached from >it yet still completly awake and in my body infact all the pain which >i usually experience in sitting meditation is gone, and most distinctly >i feel i have perfect control and can induce kundalini spikes up my >body.its like my entire being is in my mind,as if its water if i >choose to breath up in a certain direction a wave of firey white >energy will shoot threw there >But the thing is i can't seem to cause this state at will i am not >sure if this has any name or what it is.anyone know what i'm talking >about? > > _______________ Get a preview of Live Earth, the hottest event this summer - only on MSN http://liveearth.msn.com?source=msntaglineliveearthhm
Guest guest
Its hard to discribe it.its like all hardness or pain or denseness of the body is gone but i'm still completly aware of and in control of my body, its just all in peace.Like a clear body of water i can cause waves by directing my will/breath in certain angles etc. it also feels a thinner layer of energy/mind i'm connected to everywhere.i suppose thats the buddhist concept of mind or hindu concept of brahma.a omnipresent continium of conciousness
