Guest guest
My two cents: On one hand, the beauty of this newsgroup is its friendly and congenial climate. On the other hand, I also feel overwhelmed by the amount of posts (and I am certainly one of the main culprits, LOL!). I can see how people who don't have a whole lot of time to spend online and are eager to learn about the K may feel a bit lost at times. Here is my proposal: - Whenever one of us posts a request for help, all those who want to send prayers and healing could respond offline with a private message. This should keep a few non-K related messages off the list. - Posts about individual progress make an important contribution, too. We may want to respond on the list when we have some information of public interest. If we just mean to share words of encouragement, we could do that individually with an e-mail rather than a post. We could try this for a couple of weeks, to see how it works for us... And I'll try to stick with it myself :-) Sel , " crazycats711 " <crazycats711 wrote: > > I agree. Guest guest
I do not agree. I really enjoy reading some of the responses. That's what make this place warm and friendly. What will we do with newcomers? Repost the guidelines every other day? Those with limited time can read the posts they find interesting directly on the forum or receive a daily digest (that's what i do). I really enjoy the insights of others on whatever the subject might be, but I do agree with the person who asked about cutting the dead text. Remember that this is a forum. There are lots of web pages with good informations on kundalini (especialy the pages that Glen posted about). A little touch of humour : What is the best food for the soul? Kundalinguini hehe! Guest guest
That's a great ideal Selena, that would help cut down somewhat. Guest guest
Danny, I agree. For me the posts show me I'm dealing with real people not an anonymous name on the internet. Guest guest
I think it would be fair to take into account everybody's views, and try to come up with a compromise that is acceptable to all. Censoring the friendship level in this list would be a mistake; on the other hand, if somebody expresses a concern, they should be listened to carefully. Discussing our format as a list is not about creating an unpleasant or antagonistic environment. Rather, it's about making sure that we are mindful of the plurality of views in this list and respect them all. Ideally, each of us should be able to make a few adjustments. If we like to write off-topic, perhaps we can exchange some of these messages off the list instead of posting them. If we are irritated by the volume of unrelated personal messages, we might make an effort to focus on the good vibes that these messages spread to the whole list, and find a different means to sort out what is relevant to us. Gandhi used to say " be the change you want to see in the world. " Of course here we are talking about a very small change, but even such a tiny act of good will can be part of our service to humankind--those with whom we agree, and, most importantly, those with whom we don't.
