Guest guest
Everyone has their own approach to high volumes of email, I have found Mailwasher indispensable in dealing with my email traffic. Mailwasher is a stand alone program that will scan email headers and download all of smaller emails, and a portion of larger ones. Scrolling through the headers, you can quickly scan the message in the lower pane and decide if you want to keep it or not. Simply tag the posts you wish to delete and they are removed from the server. One word of caution, once deleted from the server, it's gone forever. Headers can be sorted by sender, subject, date, etc. Of course, filters can be applied to automatically cope with spam. After deleting unwanted emails, you can then download the remaining posts from your server with your regular email program. I find this preferable to digests, much easier to look up a post I saved and wish to reference again. I belong to 18 , and could not manage the email traffic without Mailwasher. I hope this is helpful to some. Jon

But double clicking a message will open it in a new window. Works fine, but is far slower for scanning lots of email. I do still have an installable free version that does work with multiple emails. If anyone would like a copy, I can put it in an FTP directory on my website and post a link. The full Mailwasher Pro version is $37 to register. I found the program so useful, I was happy to pay the money! I still use the free version on my laptop as I seldom really retrieve emails with it.
