Guest guest
Dear Nicole, I'm sorry to hear about this situation you are in with your daughter.I know how tough it is; discerning what to do, and how to proceed with your life decisions (and your family's), and your spiritual growth, during times like this. Trying to discern the best move to make. I've been in very trying family situations myself. I've never had a protection order against a family member, but I should have. From my own experiences, I feel as though mercy, forgiveness, and love are the biggest things. I feel as though a family member, especially your child(no matter how troubled) should never be given up on. As much as she's put you through, she is still your little girl, and she really needs your love and guidance. Maybe see if you can reach her somehow. Possibly, this baby will enlighten her a little bit..enough at least, for your teachings to finally sink in. I know she's given you and your other daughter a whole lot of grief and fright, (from the stabbing which you mentioned),but maybe she really needs you to be there for her- in whatever way is possible for you. After all, no one is perfect, and we are all trying to get to the same place. Some of us just take a whole lot longer to learn what they need to learn, and they take a lot of twists and turns along the way. I don't know the whole situation, so I'll say that I wouldn't want you to put yourself or your other children in danger, but that I feel as though Kundalini would probably rather guide you toward mercy, love and forgiveness, instead of severing ties. Even if the only thing you can do for her right now is pray. I really hope you can find a way to help her get back where she belongs. I really hope she doesn't end up as a lost soul, raising a baby all alone, without a mom. What a lonesome existence, full of heartache on all sides. Maybe you could pray about it? I will pray about it also, okay? I have a personal story of a situation which starts out bad and gets worse, but with love, and forgiveness and perseverance it turns around. If you'd like..feel free to email me. Maybe I could be of some help. Guest guest
Hi Nicole, I also was very moved by your email and feel great sympathy for your very difficult situation. I cannot say what is right for you to do, but I do believe in trying to find the best way to help your daughter. She needs to know that you love her and want to help her. I think if she feels that your intent is to sincerely help her and that you love her, this will help her a great deal. When I read your story my heart really broke for her. Perhaps I am a softy, but there is no substitute for love! It seems she really just wants the comfort of your love. We all can relate to that I think. Perhaps you can find a way to convey this to her and still keep her on track for her therapy and healing. Your dream seems to be very clear in it's meaning regarding this situation. You see your daughter in the dream, covered in a urine soaked comforter that you recognize is yours...It seems that in real life you view your daughter in a 'dirty, filthy' mess, and then you recognize that she is your own, or that the mess she was in(the comforter)was yours. You feel like you have to clean up 'her' mess, but it just doesn't end there, with more filth in the room as you try to clean up. In real life maybe you feel like you have to take care of your daughter's problems and mess, and perhaps this is how you feel when she calls you wanting to come home. Could you help her in another way, without feeling like you are 'cleaning up her mess'? I agree with the other members here who do not want you to abandon her. I feel like she needs you more than ever. I sincerely wish you all the best in this situation, which I know must be VERY difficult for you and your family! I will keep you and your family in my prayers, and ask for the best possible outcome for all involved. Guest guest
Nicole, I did not speak earlier about your dream and your incidents with your daughter because of the forum here trying to figure itself out and bring itself back into some kind of form that everyone can live with comfortably. But today, as I reread your letter, i realized that what you spoke of here has so much to do with your personal kundalini experience and I felt the need to speak to you about my own experiences with my children to help you. I found out at the age of 14 that my son (eldest in the family) had been molesting my 3 girls. My youngest daughter was 6. I had him arrested...and then went through all the processes with him as he went through a year and a half of treatment. After that they wanted to place him back in our home...and my girls said they didn't feel secure and safe....and so he went into a foster home. My youngest daughter had the most problems...like your daughter she took a knife to her sister...but she was 8 at the time and so those that were trying to help me help my girls...didn't do anything. We tried all kinds of help...and nothing worked. This daughter I was afraid would end up in prison as she seemed to have no consideration for anyone but herself. She was diagnosed ADHD and placed on Ritalin. to make a long story as short as possible...in the end...the sisters didn't have anything to do with the brother (understandable) and the one daughter ended up on drugs. She went through rehab for awhile...got pregnant...eventually lost her child to adoption....and is now off the hard stuff...but still smoking. She tells me it is better than the harsh medications that the docs always want to put her on. Today she is working, paying her own way...and happy. I had been moved around by the spirit world working on my own inner healing...and as I healed those around me healed. At those times I was taken to my children's homes...I was able to see my own mirror in them...those things in me that needed healing...so they could heal. Then two years ago...my son moved to Utah. he was married and doing well with his life. He called me (I was in Salt Lake at my two oldest daughters place...and after the call my eldest said " maybe it is time for us to meet " . I couldn't believe my ears...the other daughter said yes...she wanted to also. It took place at a restaurant...enough cars so that anyone who was uncomfortable could leave at any time....but no one did. It was a happy reunion. Later that week my son was invited to their home...and each of the girls were able to talk to him privately as the right time came for each. Love and deep forgiveness took place....and after two years...all still get together and feel close. All are healing still within of other things that happened in their lives but are helping each other through any hard times that come with each. What I am trying to convey to you is that it was the healing in ME...through my working on my own forgiveness...and my forgiving my son...and all that took place that began the deep healing in my children...for they could feel in me the difference..and they could see in my the example of how we need to relate to each other. I know how difficult it is for you...i spent so many years with counselors, taking classes in parenting, counseling...and anything I thought might help them...and none of it worked. What did work...was my working on my own inner healing...my own ability to forgive myself and others. This is what we are doing here, learning to evolve in a way that is beneficial not only to ourselves...but to our families and all mankind. Kundalini experience helps us find our oneness with those that have hurt us most...those that have caused so much chaos in our lives that all we want to do is wash our hands of them...just to have a moments peace. But separating them from our love does not give us peace...our peace comes from our ability to find the deep forgiveness within... Adina Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Guest guest
You are so wise and so right Adina, I have had this experience with my own mother, in reverse. I healed myself and my relationship with her, then she healed or is healing even now, her relationship with her estranged mother. It worked back up the generations It brings me great joy to be able to sit with my mom and grandma and have a civil family dinner with love and smiles at the table. when we stop the " blame game " and go within miracles happen. It truely is a powerful healing tool forgiveness, I've never seen anything work as powerfully yet as undetectably. Love and peace Elektra x x x _________ Answers - Got a question? Guest guest
Thank you for answering my post Adina. Thank you for sharing this most unfortunate incident in your life. I am so happy for your family because in spite of all this you were able to heal and to start trusting again. I think time is the best healer. My circumstances are different because I have to protect my two youngest children. If I give her another chance and something happens again my two youngest children will be taken away. She can't come back to live with us now and even though I forgave her she can't be trusted because she can get violent. I am not ready to take that chance. Trust is a very hard thing to gain back. I love her because she is my daughter and I forgave her but to trust her so soon when she gives me all the reasons not to trust her is like taking a chance on the lottery. I pray for her and I wish her well and I hope she heals just like I did but if she is unwilling to move forward and look past what happened, I cannot do it for her now. Time is the answer here. Guest guest
That's right Yogbittar , I do think that you are kind of a softie but don't get upset. My daughter has some violent tendencies and even though I am not at fault because I was abused by my ex-husband too, I have felt responsible in a way for that in the past.I was able to forgive and forget and this awakening has had a great impact towards that. There is no past for me anymore now. I feel like whatever happened happened for a reason and I am not talking or thinking about it anymore but she is very preoccupied with the past and holds a grudge. I have to protect my two youngest children and that's all that matters now. She is very angry and when I let her stay I could feel her anger and she drained my energy and gave me a horrible headache. I love her and I told her so but now I am not willing and shouldn't be taking a chance with her. It's very difficult but sometimes we have to practice some tough love. Guest guest
Hi Nicole, I understand your approach and don't necessarily disagree with it (even though I am a total softy, I might take the same actions as you in such a situation) What is important is that you be ok with your approach...your dream and your post express some emotional upset over the situation. So it would seem that the goal is to get to a place where you can be at peace with the actions you take. I see your situation through my " filter " and , well, for me the solution is always love. As long as you feel that the intent behind your actions is based from love (as opposed to anger or fear) then I think you can find peace with what you decide to do. Then your daughter will, at least on some level, also know this, despite what she might say or do. Hope this makes sense. I think you are very brave and admire your strength. I also feel deep sympathy for your situation, and wish you all the best.
