Guest guest
Jon: It has really happened to me slowly over the years. I probably wouldn't reconize myself 30 years ago. I slowly started changing. The martial arts training helped. But, it helped me because it made me face my anger issues head on. There are many ways to face your own anger. You just have to realize that there are (at least) 2 sides to your personality, the angry impulsive part, and the part that does not like the angry part. Once you realize this, let your " good side " reconize the behavior and stop and think about EVERYTHING before you react. Let life be an exercise! After a while this becomes reflexive action. The calm takes over the impulsive behavior. There are all kinds of mystical explanations---but this is my explanation simplified. It's really worth the effort--the pay off is a feeling of control- peace and actually sympathy for the " @!!*?%! " that " cut you off " in traffic. Good Luck! :) SC , Jon Anderson <janders1957 wrote: > > Stephen AKA Master Condrey wrote: > > >You can't change others, but it's wonderful when you discover the > >power of controlling your own reactions. Guest guest
Well said Master condrey.... Continued surrender and release and forgiveness allows one to build a peace and serenity within that then stays with you as a way of being. It's an ongoing practise.
