Wth the compression prayer and alternate nostril breathing. Lock both

sides, the thumb tips and finger tips.

 

The idea is to have a balanced flow. No one sided or crooked. Those

can be very painful. (read Gopi Krishna) If you lose count go back to

the beginning, thats what I would do.

 

I would rather have you miscount than come into a painful unbalanced

scenario. Remember this is a narrow path and the falls can be long and

painful. With the safeties, please do not modify them. Practice them.

How are we supposed to cover the nostrils? Just by pressing the hand

against the nose? I have been doing it without locking fingers at

all. I didn't realize I was supposed to during the breathing. Oops.
