Guest guest
Community Service - there seem to be 2 types: A. Where work is done for a familiar face, a dependency formed and comfort and security given, often praise and gratitude expressed - sometimes addictive to the giver. B. The other, where spontaneous, anonymous work is done for strangers, one-off - risky - rejection possible - and no kudos or wider recognition. Outgoing people seem good at delivering both types of service - those who are more sensitive or introverted relish the one-on-one contact implicit in A. Which is best for maturing Kundalini? John R. Guest guest
Depends upon the intention for even doing it. If it is for Kundalini results then there is payment involved and it isnt selfless. It must be done from the heart for reasons of love. Knowing the addictive qaulity of the (A) scenario one can make adjustments in how this can be achieved. Helping the person become able to acheive a certain level of independence. Or if that isnt appropriate just give them what you can and make the emotional separation so that you are not personally caught up in addiction. This is good for Kundalini. Being " there " for another, but not being owned for the gift, one on one, is good and builds the quality of love. Love that is a burden for the giver is often conducive, as one must stretch their limits. (B) Is easier but these are not always pulling injured people through a shattered windshield. Opening a door or a smile or standing in line ahead of a person who may obiviously be unable to purchase much and telling the clerk to " give them as much as they can hold inside this twenty dollars. Tell them its their lucky day. Give them any change " And leaving. Any form of honest selfless service is what we are interested in with in the parameters of the Kundalini. -

Guest guest
Thanks Chrism, that's a great way of putting it No ego, no motive, no altruistic vision for the relief of World suffering, not " giving back to the community " , not following the requirements of a deity, not even the seeking of mitigation of perceived bad karma - just love .....
