Guest guest
Sunshine, fast roads, beautiful music, thoughts of love...these ingredients give a chap no alternative but to sing along at the top of his voice. I've mentioned before how music sometimes trickles through me nowadays, but hadn't realized how much singing amplifies it... Just as I reached the good bit, two plumes of red and yellow fizz separated out either side of the glow in my spine and shot straight up the sides of my neck, enveloping both ears in such a hurry that the hair above them felt like it was being blown upward. Plates of fizz soon encased every limb as I drove, but it didn't encumber me at all, it just felt fantastic. Then the chorus came round...WHOA! If you think of the first set of vibrations as being the millimeter markings on a ruler, suddenly the centimeters arrived - wider, far deeper, major grabbings, almost like an external force extending way into my body like calipers. These guys really meant business! I'd kept belting the lyrics out the whole time, but these inroads into me stopped me short there and then. My tongue wasn't even in place, was I about to get fried? Burnt up in the fast lane!? That was it. Tongue up, shut up, music off! Drive home amazed, grinning in thankful silence! Tom
