Guest guest
Hello All, I wanted to post my experience doing the compressed movement meditation to let you know how it was for me and to encourage all of you to do it. This is part of a note I sent to Chrism. <I just completed the movement meditation you asked us to do for the shaktipat. Overall, it went well. I really did enjoy it. I had trouble though with the spontaneous movement part of it, the catharsis. I felt like I had done that during the deep breathing where I was doing the free movement, rolling around, turning cartwheels, doing the tibetans, jumping, swaying, etc. I didn't know how to really turn it up a notch for the cathartic part, so I didn't do that very well (my opinion). I probably have a hard time letting go that way. Hoo, the hu hu hu was fun and tough. Ten minutes of jumping and huing was an experience! Felt good though. The relaxation part was great except for the bugs flying up my nose (I was outside in a big sunken in field by a college). I feel great now. I actually enjoyed the activity. It has been a very long time since I have moved that way. I'd like to find a more secluded spot where I can do that and not be so conscious of my surroundings and do this some more. I'll keep looking for that perfect spot. There's my update . . . I did go to the mountains on Sunday to try to do these, but there were way too many people, and not a good place for it. So, I just enjoyed the hike!> Namaste! Ray
Guest guest
Ray, What about Sugarhouse Park. It is a lovely area with places one can go to be alone for awhile next to the creek. One could go a little farther out of the way for the first parts...and then for the meditations go over by the duck pond under the trees there.
