Guest guest
Let us be clear about this. The spinning is for the activation of the first chakra, not for learning how to be dizzy in other areas. The Tibetans are clear about this and council 21 as enough more can over develop the first chakra. Then there is the Spin of information. First though to the physical first chakra spinning. An example of this would be the whirling dervishes, who mostly focused on this one area. They could do some pretty outrageous things. But our focus for the Kundalini is to spin for the benefit of the body and the micro release of the Kundalini. Not for spinning out the seventh chakra. I know this is an opinion and the take on it is welcome, but as it pertains to the safeties as they are practiced I feel that clarification as to how they are used with in the context of the original intent is to be observed. We all have our opinions. And if the opinion is based on experiential knowledge where it can be helpful within the context of the Kundalini then this is good. Spinning out the top of the head is not within this context though - except for the holder of this opinion. Not good, not bad. Out of context. And perhaps disingenuous from an experiential basis. So please do not be confused or misinterpret what is being written here. The " Spin " as a validation through processes of " certification " by popular authors or through self imposed and self stated experiences of self aggrandizement are traps of the " ego " and are to be avoided when possible. This can be seen as prevention lest we become more invested with ourselves, as we don the self imposed limitations of ego, amid the ruminations of our accomplishments, and acquisitions of Skills or Siddhis of the paranormal. Skills that position us above and beyond those of mere mortals and place an artificial authority upon those who espouse themselves in this way. I try to stay away from this myself. Preferring the path of equality with fellow travelers. Yet I am sure to have also made these mistakes. -
