Guest guest
These are just " some " feelings about only " some " of the morals that I have experienced. They are what I have had profound experience with inside the Kundalini. These are aspects of what I have come to understand and compare with " right action " . I am not pushing them only stating them. Love - For self in flesh and energy, God as you understand that to be, High Self as you can discern with out doubt, and Spirit as exists in all creation and those same aspects as loved by others. Love without infliction. Love without expectation. Communicated freely. Truth - To be given at all times with discernment and humble clarity. Forgiveness - For self and others. Trust - In self and High Self or God as this can be understood by you. In the path of your life as it is revealed to you and by you. That the person behind your eyes is as worthy of love as anything in front of them. Gratitude - Of life, of health as it is for you, of understanding as it is for you. Of others as they reflect you. Of experience as it embraces you. Surrender - As it advances you and keeps you out of your way. Courage - For yourself and those who walk with you. The solitary figure on the horizon walks alone yet broadcasts a security of conscience and integrity with every step. The quality of fearlessness. The integrity of personal faith. Charity - the gifting of love by the actions of love for those we are blessed with the opportunity of helping. Strength - That we may have the confidence of knowledge and the ability to hold it. Patience - For the nurturing of our own progression without haste. Harmony - In the balance and flow of our energies and actions as we experience life and life experiences us. For the song of our lives as heard by the harmonies of those who sing with us. Service - A gift of love, for the sake of love, with the results of love. Just some thoughts -
Guest guest
Shakari, What are Universal moral codes? Morals vary according to period in history, customs of country of origin and peer groups. I personally don't see a Universal moral code. We already know the Universe is a devine dance of energy. Energy is non dualistic. It can use fire to warm an individual or wipe out a village. Morals are man made. Just as money and the concept of keeping time are man made. Gandhi is considered by most as a very moral man and yet if I'm not mistaken he wiped out many artifacts and religions statues of his society because they depicted sex. So according to his beliefs he behaved morally, but he caused harm to others who didn't have the same beliefs. When you define what's moral and what's immoral, you're setting up scenarios that allow for various forms of atrocities and injustice. If you use a code of conduct such as " Lead a harmless, helpful life. " You've eliminated the duality. You can harm others through moral justification. You have no fudge factor on being harmless or helpful. You are or you aren't. John Colanzi ______________________________\ ____ Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Guest guest
People always find loop holes when it comes to " morals " and " good behavior " . I dare say someone would try to find a loop hole with a " harmless, helpful life " . We all have a personal code--even many loop hole finders sense they are harming others. " To thine own self be true " is a good start to keep from being an immoral sociopath. Ask yourself if you really believe in what you do, or are you doing it for temporary pleasure and " hell with the concequences! " later. Also, many people get very upset that others are " trying to tell me what to do with my life " . But, if they are sincerely trying to help you help yourself; is that a bad thing? Some may go to extremes with their " morality " . I remember tales of Buddhist Monks putting out their fires to stop the " needless slaughter of insects flying into the fire " . The commercial about the monk that uses the " germ killing Kleenex " and then seeks forgiveness adds humor to the human plight. No matter what history or society dictates, there are always human varibles. I see little difference in Old Roman morals and present day American Morals. Everyone has a personal set. Some claim they do what they do, " In the name of God " when most likely God did not give any official " go ahead " . I sincerely believe in a connection between 'God' and 'human'. That part that is 'God' seems to be what some call 'inner self'. Some may call this 'Bull Shit' or other colorful terms. Hey, it works for me! I'll use it until I find something that works better! Guest guest
Shankari, What I have learned is that when we take on anothers teachings of knowledge without going through the experiences ourselves by going within and finding the truth about our own contrasts...we only have a belief...not the wisdom that comes from experiencing the knowledge. Belief is in the mind (thoughts)...experience is in the heart (feelings). The mind stays with the body when it leaves here and is not eternal...the heart goes with the spirit and is eternal. I chose to learn what was eternal...and to let go of illusion. Inner truth cannot be mentally mastered or memorized, it must be first grasped intuitively and then confirmed experiencially. In this way the insight becomes knowledge of the heart. We cannot even grasp it until we become attuned with OUR OWN deeper, true self and to the feelings and vibrations that emanate from things. Once we have experienced it for ourselves we can draw on it as an infinite resource and rely on it completely to point the right way through all kinds of difficulties in both worlds. i spoke of virtues...not must differently than what speaks of. He spoke of being honest. Honesty is one I found many places in myself lacking. Did the woman at the cash register at the store give me much change in return.... did i return it even though i needed it. Even if it was only a nickel...this presents a problem with impeccability because I knew within that it wasn't mine. Did I have irritating thoughts about the children when they were only trying to get me to play with them needing some one on one time. Was I thinking about how another had hurt my feelings and maybe I should just ignore them to give them a lesson. In each case...and there were many...I had to learn to be completely honest...with myself... and with others. Did I say yes...when I really didn't want to do something? that was dishonest....I made a dishonest agreement. There are many virtues that can be pointed out...but we each are going through what it is that we as individuals need to work on. Not all will be working on the same things. We must experience and choose for ourselves which virtues we need, which we lack in...and which are just a belief system that no longer has anything to do with our life any longer. These are personal choice... Adina Looking for a deal? Find great prices on flights and hotels with FareChase.
Guest guest
Shankara, Well it took my afternoon session of meditation for me to realize how to answer your question correctly so you can understand where it is that I speak from. Virtues are not things found outside of ourselves...but are a natural part of us...our true self...our Divine nature. What takes place when we come to this earth and inhabit a body is that we have emotions...these are not a part of the spiritual world...only feelings are. Emotions come with the body and it is through these different emotions that we experience life here. When we get hurt...or are traumatized our natural loving, caring nature is covered up with defense mechanisms. Our natural goodness is also covered up with misbeliefs...those come in from society and parental and religious upbringings. These things cause guilt, shame, blame...and those are the at the lowest end of the vibrational scale and are not a part of our divine nature...but a part of the ego...which is a part of the physical body and its emotions. We throughout out lives are experiencing what happens when we live under these limitations...and we learn that we don't like them...and begin to look within to find how to change what we see in our outer world...not realizing that it is a reflection of what is taking place within us. We don't realize that we have the ability to change it until we move into the vibration of courage...and then our awakening begins. We begin slowly to see that we ourselves are responsible for it all. We begin realize first that we have to change out mind...our ways of thinking. Then we begin to see that there are still places in us...reactions to others and such that we can figure out why are there. That is when we move into the subconscious (normally through meditation) and begin to take a look at ourselves realistically...and that is when we find those little places...things hidden in corners...under beds...in closets...all those little things that are causing us to react in ways that are not aligned with our true loving nature. As we do our clean up and begin to sweep these out...we begin to truly see our loving playful nature again. We begin to realize that we are not as bad as we thought we were. But...until we go within...and have the actual experience of ourselves...we never truly know who we really are...we remain only a personality which is nothing more than a mask....that masks our fear that we are not good enough, pretty enough, thin enough, muscular enough, Divine enough...a mask. That is why we must go within...to find our own reality...of who we are..... Adina Bored stiff? Loosen up... Download and play hundreds of games for free on Games.
