I remember in Thailand the Buddhist monks would scoop the bugs out of the water before they drank it. That would be a bit extreme or some of the things Sadhus do in the name of self-restraint can be extreme as well. I agree with you about the immoral sociopath. Our inner God/Goddess should guide us, but sometimes we are too lost in Maya to see this inner light.
