Guest guest
Last night Dances with Cats sent more rain my way. I went out to rescue a porcelain frog my wife had bought for outside. The storm had blown it over and it lay broken. As I put the decoration in a safer spot, a bolt of lightening struck only feet away! The noise was deafening-I had to actually hold my hands over my ears. I have not been that close to a that loud a boom since I was in the Navy, shooting the 5 inch cannon! I was energized myself. I felt as if I could jump the 15 feet back into the house with one leap. I thought of Elektra. Did you sneeze just then, dear? :) Blessings to all, Thank you Mr. Chris M. for the experience! Guest guest
Wow! Stephen, that was a close call. I did that one time, but it was help a mother cat get her kittens to a dryer spot. The lightening didn't hit so close, but close enough that I got myself back into the house quickly. Really though the way I see it, even indoors you are not much safer. A few years ago a neighbor had a lightening bolt to go through his roof and left a big hole in their living room. They had just left the living room and was going to bed. I am thankful it didn't zapped you. Guest guest
I can identify with both of you, as about three years ago a bolt of lightening came down- right over my head! I saw it with my mind's eye and I quickly dropped to the ground, but the ground I was on was kind of a hill, so I couldn't get low enough. I remember a very calm sensation came over me, as though I knew what to do and that I would be alright. I had a calm feeling even as I looked up (waiting for it to leave) and I saw a woman in a car, passing by- with eyes fixed on me in a horrified expression. I never felt any pain, but I felt completely dazed and confused for about two days. I could barley remember my own address, or where I had been earlier, or questions I was just asked. I had a panicky feeling all the time too. It felt like my heart had been shocked and was not able to slow down. It did of course subside, but it was a truly interesting experience. I was happy to be alive after that one! Love, Tara crazycats711 <crazycats711 wrote: Wow! Stephen, that was a close call.
