Guest guest
If anyone has a few spare minutes, would you say a prayer for my brother Steve, please? I am so sad. I just learned that he is in the I.C.U. of our local hospital, with what seems to be a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest, 6 inches- my mom says. She acts like it's no big thing, and talks about how he's up and walking around..and that it was an accident. I haven't been able to see him. He was brought in to the hospital at 3:00 this morning, and by the time I learned of it, visiting hours were closing in. I couldn't get there in time. I hear that he is sitting up and walking around and talking plainly (although a little out of it from the anesthetic), but I am worried about his state of mind. I know what it takes for some one to reach that point. It takes a lot- and it takes a long time of thinking about it, with no one to talk to..with nobody knowing. I had absolutely no idea...no way to know. Thank you so much, guys and gals. I am grateful for any little minute you can spare. Love and many blessings to all of you, Tara Be a better Globetrotter. Guest guest
Thank you ever so much, Lisa. I just talked to him on the phone, a little while ago. I didn't have the heart to insinuate that I 'knew' his intention, and demand an answer. I asked him what happened, and he said he got drunk and fell on a bunch of stuff on the floor. I asked him what he could possibly have fallen on, to get a six inch stab wound in his chest, and he said he guessed he fell on a knife. I knew he wouldn't be straight forward with me. If I had done something like that, I don't know that I'd admit it either. At least not to someone whom it would deeply hurt. I played his game, and told him not to do that kind of stuff anymore, and told him that I wouldn't want to be without one of my brothers, and we laughed it off as if I really believed he didn't mean to do it. I guess it's all in God's hands. I will just pray and send him comfort for whatever he's going through. It makes me sad to think that he would take all of those steps..that he would plan it all out, without so much as giving anyone a chance to listen to his story and offer him some comfort. Thank you so very much for all of your kind thoughts..and your prayers for him. I am very grateful.
