Should there be rules in a church one possible thread

Well, there was a thread by some other people making fun of

the rules some churches have.

 

I was just making a simple point that perhaps the rules in

churches do in fact serve a purpose and that many of the

rules of the churchs do in fact come from the christian

bible and the N.T.

 

Paul talked of spiritual gifts as used in the church body.

Was Paul making rules?

And perhaps, if Paul was making rules, there was a reason

for this.

 

I was just asking if churchs should have any rules at all,

in light of the discussion others were having making fun of

rules and some said that they would break any rule placed

in front of them.

 

The thread of rules in the church regarding speaking in

tongues was started by others, not me.
