My point is that I do not know where tongues come from.

Tongues can come from many, different sources.

I do not know if tongues are related to Kundalini at all.

I agree there is a certain form of opening to the unknown when a

person is in the throws of a spiritual event as can happen in a

church or anywhere. The " Holy Rollers " have this commonly as do

the " snake handlers " . Possesion is an attack whether it is invited

or not.

 

Edgar Cayce made a reference to possesion being associated with the

Kundalini and the amount of entity contact that can be had with the

Kundalini proves his accuracy once again.

 

Typically the person doesnt know one way or the other. It seems

Spirchal so they go with it! That it happens in a church to me is no

safeguard as many acts of immorality happen in churches. Possesion

of a persons body could fit right in. Not " all " churches and

not " all " people have this though and this is an important

distinction to make.

 

Some are given the Holy Spirit and as I believe Dhyana mentioned

there is no question after that occurs. -

I feel mine was a gift of the Holy Spirit, since they came as a

surprise during meditation one day not too long after I had recieved

the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have only used this gift in worship

and prayer. The church I was going to at the time believed in the

Baptism of the Holy Spirit, but that the gift of tongues was only for

the early church.

 

I don't know how it would be related to K, except kundalini

experience is involed in the whole of a person, their will, emotions,

and beliefs or whatever makes up their individaulism. Right???

I received the gift of tongues the same way Linda. Shortly after

being baptized in the Holy Spirit, I was praying and it just came

out! I have only spoken in tongues while praying, it has never come

upon me at any other time.

Hi,

 

Thanks for sharing. Mine came in meditation too and comes again only when doing

spiritual things. Such as sometimes when I am doing hands on healing, in sweat

lodges when our energy gets higher and higher, in a church with others doing the

same things and, still, sometimes in meditation.

 

I have not talked to others who have had this happen so I am glad to hear of

your experiences.

 

I was mediating, my fingers started to curl and make themselves into various

poses and some sort of utterance came from my mouth. I caught myself beginning

to control these things but then surrendered to whatever might be happening (had

not a clue) and more sound came, just a bit. As I meditated in the next few

days the sound came more often with it sometimes sounding Chinese (both a man

and a womens sounding voice) then sounded like the African bushmens language,

with clicks, then some European Slovic sounding language (this is what has

stayed for the most part) and several others. The Slavic sounding thing is what

happens almost exclusively now.

 

My friend who runs the sweat lodges in Texas was not Lacota but asked by them to

run sweats and he was praying and praying in a church one time, finally fell to

his knees and started talking tin tongues.

 

Someone else who was in the church told him later that he was speaking Lakota.

He tells me that he loves me in the lodge with him as I support him and he is

not so drained afterwards. He is a wonderful man.
