Spaciness?

OK, I've not said anything but this has happened 3 days in a row now.

I'll be sitting reading at the computer and suddenly realize I'm turned

off, staring blankly into space and sort of zoom back to reality,

realizing 5 or 10 mins. has gone by. I've done this while eating

supper, watching a movie, while standing in the kitchen making a meal!

It's a bit unsettling. Not scary but I shake my head and think, what

the heck?! Where i " go " , I have no idea. Consciously, I'm nowhere.

Maybe on another level i'm " somewhere " but I don't know. Has anyone

experienced this? Do you know what's happening or where I might " be " ?

Is this a passing phase (I hope!)?

I've been doing this for years. I call it " zoning out " . I sometimes

hear or see visions when I am in this state. I have even arrived

somewhere in my car and not known how I got there. I think we go on

auto pilot when in this state. Part of us is still aware of what is

happening. I haven't hurt myself yet! Not sure what causes it. I

have had this happen to me ever since a near death experience when I

was 12.
