Could this be a symptom of Kundalini?

Namaste---

I am brand new to this group.

Please excuse me and accept my apologies for joining the group and

jumping right in with a question---but this happened today and I don't

understand it....

I experienced something today and I am wondering if it could be the

result of Kundalini.

I have looked at lists of " kundalini symptoms " and this isn't

mentioned. So, I thought maybe someone in the group might know.

I have been doing a lot of meditation and mantra japa lately.

Supposedly, my kundalini had been opened through shaktipat by a guru,

So, today, I am outside talking to my best spiritual friend. We were

talking about mantra or something---and all of a sudden, I felt like

rain was falling on me. I felt a few drops on my arms and on my head.

But, I looked up and there were no clouds overhead and certainly no

rain clouds in the sky. Nothing around me was getting wet. And, it

had not rained in quite a while, so nothing could have been wet,

dripping on me.

And, in fact, even though I felt these " raindrops, " there was no

physical evidence of it. I was not wet at all.

I mentioned this to my friend. She said, maybe I was being blessed.

So, I went inside and continued to talk to her. After about 10

minutes, I'm sitting on the couch, and I feel a few more of these

raindrops on my forehead! I'm inside now, it doesn't rain inside!

And, again, it was just a sensation, there was no actual water.

So, I'm wondering, could this be a manifestation/symptom of

kundalini??? I can't figure out what could be going on.

Thank you in advance for any responses and insight you might share.

Blessings,

Jeff

Welcome Jay,

It could be. As you are doing much meditation, you may be

opening to that expression. As far as the twenty year old

Shaktipat....seems a long time to wait for that to be felt. But it can

be activated by virtue of what you are doing your prayers and your

mantra's. Is the Kundalini something you are open to experiencing? -

Thanks for the response.

(It's Jeff by the way, not Jay.)

The Kundalini is definitely something I am open to experiencing!

I want to experience it!

Jeff,

Welcome to the group! I have been K active for about a year now and

I have experienced similar symptoms on several occasions. Early in

my activation, I remember laying in bed and feeling snow falling on

my body. It felt as real as if I were laying in a field during a

snowstorm.

Also, I have frequently felt drops of water falling or " splashing " on

me during meditation. It is quite startling, so I would immediately

check to see if I was wet but there was nothing there. I meditate

indoors usually and my roof doesn't leak, so I have to assume it is

the K.

This is just one of the many incredible (and sometimes bizarre but

always wonderful) manifestations of the K that I have experienced in

my short time with this energy.

Enjoy!

Hi jeff.

I guess from reading about your background that it could be

kundalini symptoms rising. I have experienced what I call

the 'internal rain' many times in the last year and a half since

kundalini transformation fully activated. I do remember it

happening in the beginning days as an early symptom, and

I felt much like what you expressed that I felt I was being

rained on from the outside. Impossible because I was inside

my room.

Having observed this effect enough times and questioned

what I was observing it came to me that this symptom has

to do with a quick rise in heat of the body. the feeling of

rain is from moisture sort of squirting out of the sweat glands

and it is often felt on the face. I think it happens when a high

heat energy rises into the skull and the rain effect is the

bodies response to cool off the skull from what could be

excessive heat. I'm pretty sure it has to do with moisture

coming out of the sweat glands because later on when

the reactions happen faster, I could watch the energy

build in the pelvic bowl, shoot up the spine in a few seconds

along with the intense heat and immediate sweat, then feel

moisture squirting out the pores of the skull all over, then

making my skull quite wet. I came to dread this suffocating

heat, yet at the same time appreciate it for the work that

is done with it. Even iron will bend if it's hot enough

comes to mind, which is helpful for moving long held

facial bones in place. This has happened countless times

and now I rarely feel the rain effect, i just drip with moisture.

In either case it only lasts a few minutes then it's over.

Regards,

Betsy

Jeff,

I too have experienced this, several times. This first happened when I was about

11 yrs old, sitting in the living room watching TV with a friend. We were both

sprayed with water (over our arms and face). We were the only ones in the house

at the time, and couldn't understand what had just happened.

My friends grandmother had just died and we decided it was her letting us know

she was still around.

I still get sprayed on occasion, and I believe it could a number of reasons. Why

not a spirit? Can't these energies control its environment and contract the

moisture around us? In my mind, this may be a possibility. my take on it though

:-)
