Guest guest
Hi there, K brothers and sisters! I have returned refreshed and renewed. I did arrive to hear some bad news. Please, would you spare some of your time for prayer for my sickly brother? My 23 year old brother is in the i.c.u. I went to see him yesterday. He's hooked up to an i.v. and a feeding tube. Apparently, he had a blockage in his stomach, and was experiencing horrific pain. Everyone he tried to call for help, told him it was nothing. He wound up very sick, in the emergency room. They had to do surgery. They cut out part of his intestines, to remove some sort of blockage, and then stitched it back up again. He told my mom that the doctor said the blockage was a rubber glove, but I know he was probably delirious by then- and just wasn't making any sense. No one has been able to speak with the doctor. It seems he's never around when we want to speak with him. He felt like he was starving. He wasn't allowed to have any food or drinks. I guess he couldn't take it anymore, and he somehow unhooked his tubes and took off. He made his way down four floors, to the exit..and managed to walk all the way home (several miles). The doctors gave the order for him to be located and found, so several ambulances went in search of him. My mom was called, and she went looking. too. They found him outside of his apartment.. lying on the ground. He said he was so exhausted, and it felt so good to lie down..even though he was on the ground in the heat. The doctors said he must not eat or drink. They said if he had even a sip of a beverage, or a little bit of food, he would have died. He has pneumonia now, as well. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him. I just a week, he lost so much weight. His face was really thin, and his eyes were big and seemingly unfocused. He had almost no strength to speak. He couldn't move by himself. It seemed he was drifting in and out of dreams, because the things he was saying weren't making sense. He said he looks around and sees only dead people. The he started babbling about a toad who ran away with a stool, and an old man in a coffee mug with a cane. To that one, he was laughing, saying " Cup of Joe. " I told him he was certainly the laziest person I've ever in my life seen. I made him really laugh, by making him feel less afraid of his condition. I told him that few people have ever mastered the art of nothing, but he truly has. You don't even eat your food, you lazy little punk, I said. You've found a way to get machines to do that for you, too. He was laughing like crazy, and then it was time to go. Visiting hour was over by then. At one point, I had gone away, to the restroom. After we left, my mom told me that during that time, he was asking her if he could please have iced tea and soda for his birthday (late October). He must have been so thirsty. Hearing that made me really sad, but I know he'll get better with faith and prayer. I told him that if he stayed in the hospital until the doctors let him go, I'll give him a gift card to Wawa, and he can buy all the iced tea and soda he wants. Thank you all so very much, for your prayers on this. I will be fasting and praying, and meditating on his healing. With love and thanks, Tara ________ Got a little couch potato? Guest guest
So sorry to hear about your brother Tara! I will send some healing his way. I know this sounds odd, but maybe something positive will come out of this for your brother. Sometimes a life altering event will do that. Guest guest
Thanks so much, Becky. Your healing meditation will be greatly appreciated. I forgot to mention, that for quite a while now, Rob has been reading up on and interested in Kundalini. I coached him on our safeties, so that if he chose to become activated, he wouldn't be just thrown into it blindly..like a lot of people apparently are. He says he has been following our safety guidelines for a while. He's into a lot of spiritual things. Like me, he's always on a journey. Except, he seems to get really side tracked, and very easily. Thanks again Becky! With love and gratitude, Tara Becky Jean Rich <beckyjeanrich wrote: Dearest Tara - My prayers are for your brother, my evening meditation will be focused on his healing. Guest guest
Actually, I've been thinking the same way..strange, huh? He has always been labeled the 'odd one' in our family, because he really acts out of line. He's never really chosen to be in control of his emotions- so he lashes out at everyone for ridiculous reasons. He's changed a lot in the past month or so. I still feel that he needs to understand that this life is an important stepping stone, and not to be taken lightly. I keep trying to make him understand, but he's never really paid attention. At the same time, over the past several months, my mom has been asking my siblings and I, who will take care of him in the event that she dies. I'm hoping that my siblings will see that him in a different light now, and try a little harder to include him. I know I have changed already. I feel he will begin to take steps toward bettering himself, on his individual level. That was great insight, Sarita! With much love and gratitude, Tara >So sorry to hear about your brother Tara! Guest guest
Not so strange Tara when you think of what we are involved with here! I just got this overwhelming feeling that this was going on for a reason and that he will come out of it changed. Keep us aprised of what happens! Who knows, he might even join us one of these days.
